Hi Everyone, It took me ages to gather all the information on how to use any of the 3 flash menus in the W810i with any them that I downloaded.

So I thought I would write up a 'HOW TO GUIDE' for it.

Here are the instructions on how to edit W810i themes to use one of the 3 flash menus that are pre-installed on the handset. It's a bit tricky but, but it works like a charm.

- You firstly need to download the theme you want to use the flash menu with to your pc
- Once you have downloaded the theme, you will notice that you see that it has a file name like djunique.thm
- In order to edit this file you need the following software:

Tar Compiler: http://www.tugzip.com
XML Editor: http://www.philo.de/xmledit/

- Install both of the above onto your PC.
- The next step is rename the theme extension to Tar file.

If you can't view the name extensions of the files on your computer, then you need to enable it in windows (in file explorer – Tools – Folder Options – View – and then uncheck 'Hide extensions for know file types'.

- Rename djunique.thm to djunique.tar
- Now double click on djunique.tar and it will open the archive in Tug Zip. You will now see a number of image files and a theme.xml file.
- Extract all the contents of the archive to a folder on your computer, and then open the theme.xml file with the xml editor that you downloaded above.
- Just after the line stating: Sony_Ericsson_theme version="4.1", enter this line:

<Desktop_style Type="File" Source="orbit.swf"/>

As you can see I have put it orbit.swf, but you can use any one of the 3 flash menus inside the handset (orbit.swf, emerge.swf and equalizer.swf).

- Once you have done this, you will need to click file save as, and make sure that you save it as an .xml file.
- Now you need to convert all the files back to a .thm file
- locate the folder on your computer where you extracted the original archive, highlight all the files and right click. You should see a green arrow that says 'add to' ON ITS OWN! Click on it.
- ok where it says format, select TAR from the drop down.
- In the field labelled 'name' you should see the location as to where the Tar archive will be saves. Makes sure you know the location, and name it to what you what you want the theme to be called. i.e. djunique, tar
- Click on ok
- now rename djunique, tar to djunique.thm and upload it to your phone.

How easy is that????

It may work as w850 supports flash.. although the screen size might pose a problem.

To fix it. 1) Extract the theme you're gonna edit using winrar 2) After editing use TUGZip to repack the folder to .tar 3) Reneame .tar to .thm

Just tried it, it works great for me! Now I have the orbit flash menu for my favourite theme on my W810!

Ok, has anyone else here tried this? It seems that it doesn't always work, or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Several themes I tried to modify ended up with only the flash menu and coloured text but with blank images for all the rest of the theme, it's all blacked out. Hmm... I can't figure out why.
