Hello friend
do not know if U2uploader reads it, if I can save the camdriver the original post, maybe you can modding?

Lend me one, i'll try to drawn it

The camera driver is located in
Z:\private\10202BE9\10282EDC.txt

Use X-Plore to dump the file.

The file can be edited with notepad.

You can change the compression quality value, but it may lead to camera instabilities.

You then copy the file back to C:\private\10202BE9\10282EDC.txt and activate it with the c2z patch

I have not played with compression quality yet, but have tried increasing the video resolution from to 640x480 to 720x480 but the video resolutions stayed the same.

I can not find the folder
C: \\ \\ private \\ 10202BE9 \\ \\ 10282EDC.txt
I have to activate that function with x-plore to see hidden files?
Use:
X-plore_S60_3rd
xplore_symbian_lcg_1_35

Sorry I meant Z:\private\10202BE9\10282EDC.txt

But you must put the modded file in C:\private\10202BE9\ and activate it with the c2z patch as the Z:/ Drive has a read only file system.

Read my guide here on how to create a c2z patch: satioworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=328

No need to patch your phone. Just have your phone hacked and then install Active File 1.43 with Manufacturer Capabilities. That allows for changes in file attributes (in order to have complete access to them) and to send any file whithin the phone to your computer even via bluetooth, even though the file 10282EDC.txt doesn't seem to contain 12Mp pictures configs.

Is it possible that if we change *.txt file options in camdrive will change? I think that other file is responsible for it.

It seems that this file is not the camera driver for the Satio, It normally is for all Nokia's and Samsung's. This is because there is no value present for 12 megapixels (4000x3000).

what will modding the camera do

Well friends, it could be a beginning o_0

Posted by eltoffer
nop definitely i cant open it :S maybe this phone will never get a customized driver

Posted by Raafat
I guess its not, I've used a Disassembler and it seems that its the actually Camera driver and NOT the camera configuration file.

Posted by eltoffer
how did you decode that file??? what is in??

Posted by Raafat
I didn't decode it, I disassembled it meaning it is a binary and looking at the machine code it doesn't seem to control the camera quality.

If your interested I used DISARM.EXE

Upload it to a file host such as Mediafire.com and then post the link here

Posted by basithz
hopefully one of these files is the cam driver which you can then edit and make better
here is the download link you have to download all separately

Hi everyone! Im new to this forum but I was reading this thread and started thinking about what we can do to get the most out of our Satio... As you might already know, "Samsung Omnia HD" is based on the same operatingsystem (Symbian S60v5) and it does support 720p video-recording.. What if someone could upload their files so that we can compare Satios drivers and Omnia HD;s.. Then we might find the solution!? I am not a programmer myself, but I guess both phones are programmed using the same kind of language and therefore we should be able to find differences between the two.

Does anyone of you guys know about DLNA-support? That's one feature that I am missing and it should be a software-related tweak.

can anyone post the OMNIA HD camdriver????? thanks in advance

Here one mod for i8910

Hi, it would be very useful to have the Flash always on, so we could use it as Fill flash in high light and some manual settings...

I am a programmer and a photographer would love to get my hands in this settings file or source code...

Does anyone know the driver version at least, there is this guy here making mods for other SE drivers he looks like to know what he is doing.

http://forums.se-nse.net/topi[....]ny-ericsson-series-wkzvtcgvga/

But nothing for Satio yet in his portfolio.

Posted by eltoffer
thanks luhccas but how do i extract it??

Posted by Zacie
I think the OmniaHD cam driver is not compatible with the satio...

Would like to know this too
I think we will need to wait a software for "cook" roms, like Omnia hd.
Soon this will be possible

Posted by stingrayl
did you try it ?

The problem is not how to cook but how to flash!

@Raafat:
Nothing: the web page of which I wrote on Satioworld not contain any useful information on how to flash the firmware... I know now.

Posted by eltoffer
i know this is not compatible and maybe thats why we cant install the driver itselft, MAYBE we must "compile" a SIS file with driver inside, and i needed the omnia driver to compare with satio´s one

thanks

Exactly!
But,based on words of modders of Omnia hd,the ROM flash process is based on ARM architeture.(like apollo software uses to connect on i8510)
So,i think the developers just need flash files(or whatever what) to implement on existing program.

Posted by zide
I would like to have a lil bit more sharpness in Satio. Just like Pixon12.

Posted by kanjer
did anyone ever manage to hack the satio camera for modding? the pictures are too compressed for my liking.

dont care too much about HD video, but as a camera its not as good as my old c905
