The pics taken by the xperia is really amazing, the pics clarity really made my eyes opened, and its features are also really an eye catching one.

Yes,it's of fairly decent quality but it's not quality that has not been seen before. N8 is better

Did you expect photo quality that has not been before with 9.4 mm. and 100 g.? Probably…not

More recent shots...

The 2nd night shot is good first one looks grainy.

2nd one, I had to adjust manually. I find that the Exmor R settings overexposes shots by 1 stop. Quick fix, but I wish there was a way to lock my settings.

Posted by Bonovox
Yeah it's good in good light though & as for the photo light I never take many flash shots anyway

It is not bad in low light in a room

Posted by lolstebbo

I'm totally satisfied. If it can do well in this kind of lighting, then it's more than good enough for what I'd usually be using it for.

Yayyyy! FOr the C902 poster

Posted by Bonovox
I did once say the Xperia Ray had a poor camera, but to me that was just poor reviewers. It is great in sunlight!! If you click on the photos in photos section & view it full size any of them you'll see what I mean. They have very good detail & colours, exposure, contrast. Sometimes contrast can be a little over zealous but I just lower EV by 1 step in bright sun.

wow, great photos guys, also kindly put the settings that you use so that for the aspiring new users can get along with picture taking.

Posted by jplacson
Accidental camera discovery, while I was taking some photos, I noticed some ghosting when a strong light source was coming from the left. Cupping my hand over the camera helped, so I decided to try to make a makeshift lens hood. It kinda works, but in the end I decided against it since the improvement was minimal (but present).

This was my end result:

Posted by Bonovox
Great shots guys!! @jplacson,was it lens flare you mean??

Posted by jplacson
It's not quite lens flare... it's more ghosting.

I posted sample pics and the comparison with and without the lens hood on my blog

Posted by Bonovox
I see what you mean now but I have not noticed that

Posted by jplacson
Ya it's rare, and the lens hood makes a VERY SLIGHT improvement. I just wanted to share, just in case anyone else noticed it and it bothered them.

Posted by Bonovox
There was a similar issue on the Nokia N8. The silver ring around the lens caused sunlight to catch on it & make a halo or smudge of light on the one side. Bloody designers

The new 3D Sweep is pretty funky... I don't have a 3D TV to test it with so I convert to the red-blue 3D... pretty cool already... I'm trying to find a Bravia to test it with...
