I like the LED.

Love it

Now that's how you make a camera phone.. curious how well it performs as a phone though.

With 1080p and Snapdragon 801 + 2GB RAM it will run fine.
I really loved this retro design!
Looks like the LG KE990 Viewty, without the xenon flash.

I love this phone too- hopefully Amazon.de will stock it. I am definitely interested - and also I agree that with its current hardware it should run extremely well

Welcome The New King Of Cameraphones

^ well... without a Xenon flash its not really a replacement But it should provide better IQ if the lens is as good or better than the Zeiss on the 808.

But that 1" sensor is sweet.. is it the Sony one from the RX series ?

Posted by emerson_shei
How good photographer, you know that most of the time we do not use flash, so the absence of Xenon although important, no is somehow essential

Moreover embedded LEICA LENS, OIS, Great Image Sensor and 60 seconds of exposure time ensure formidable nighttime images. In my view, yes it is a replacement to the Nokia 808 PureView Pro only regret that this product will never arrive in South America

P.S: My guess is that this is an image sensor produced by Panasonic itself

Yep it is the same Sony sensor from the RX series

Really exciting device, but I wish the price was lower.

^ That's great news.. that sensor is one of the best in the business! I like the first generation (FSI design) the best to be honest, but the BSI ones are very, very good as well. This should outperform anything else out there by quite a margin, if they did a their job on the optics and the processing right..

Which leads to the price... that sensor is expensive, but it delivers.. so.. you know.. you get what you pay for.

The 808 launched at around $700 in 2012.. so , its not that far off I guess

I agree, xenon is not needed for general photography, but you can still use in certain cases. I meant it from a day to day use.. the 808 can truly replace your point & shoot because even at night you can get great shots of friends, family, kids.. whatever. With the Lumix you will be out of luck if you have to take a shot at a night club..

I really don't understand the decision to not include a proper flash considering all the room they had to work with:

808: 123.9 x 60.2 x 13.9 (18 at the hump) mm

Lumix: 135.4 x 68.0 x 15.2 (21.1 at the hump) mm

Of course it has a much larger screen..

In what source you rely to assert this ?

Has a link to confirm your information to share ? We are happy to have access to it

Otherwise I and everyone else will find that just rests on the assumption that all camera manufacturers that use sensors 1 inch consequently has the same sensor RX series

Panasonic is already using it on their FZ1000, so most likely the same on this cameraphone.

Really... If the Panasonic DMC-CM1 told with xenon flash, it would be the perfect cameraphone.

But do not whine, after all you are privileged.

Probably this product will be available in the Usa and then you can have spectacular 808 and innovative CM1, when you want in the palm of the hands.

Meanwhile I and other South Americans, we must content ourselves with the K Zoom and 1020 closest devices with the photographic quality of the former king of cameraphones.

Thanks for the quick response

I'm glad to know that the DMC-CM1 will have the same excellent sensor of RX Series, but luckily with the best post processing photographic of Panasonic

I totally agree with you

Leica is Leica... This cameraphone has everything to be at least in theory, better than the big 808 PureView Pro

Posted by randomuser
Same here, this might tempt me over the Xperia Z3

But sadly, it's not sure if Panasonic will release a successor to it later so I might be stuck with it for a long time or if I upgrade for better features and new tech I'll have to make a big compromise in terms of camera quality.

Info about price - 900 Euros (approximately US$ 1160) , forget it I will wait long long time for price drop

It is my impression or this phone provides a choice of ISO sensitivity (20) ?

If this is indeed correct, imagine that clean image

Really, I am also looking forward to the first pictures

Hope for good sensor quality , bicouse Panasonic has little strange color reproduction 808 has advantage with big resolution 38mp sensor. This allows for crop , re-frame , resize and other edits. After resizing detail , sharpneness and quality looks is great.

I know that the GPS jammer can block the signals of the gps tracking device and gain me a safe condition. So I bought a GPS Jammer to help me then and now I can drive without being tracked now.Not want to being tracked and have their own privacy and space, almost everyone want to stay in such kind of condition and the car remote signal blocker can be a good assistant now.

Review (Part 1): Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1

http://smartcam.club/node/3233

P.S: Surprisingly at least in daylight images, even with a larger image sensor and a set of best lenses, the Panasonic CM1 does not have an image quality higher than Nokia 808 PureView, on the contrary it is noticeably worse and the maximum is equal to the Nokia Lumia 1020
