Hey guys,
What APN and DNS did you use for your data account? I can't figure this damn thing out.
I have tried to use the "internet" APN, but it didn't work:(
I called T-Mobile and they didn't have a clue. They said the only way I could get my email was through the T-Zones.
Any help appreciated.
Hiya guys,
I know this has been re-hashed over and over, but I still cant set this mofo up:(
When I send and receive the process gets stuck on finding server.
I have tried to create another data acct using the "internet" apn and it didnt work for me .

both internet2 and internet3 should work fine for POP3 or IMAP mail access. Internet3 is truly open with no proxy services being used for accelerated web caching. I have successfully checked my email with both of the above apn's. If you want to switch to internet3 just call and ask for the Data wireless service group at customer support, they can switch you over. FYI neither internet2 nor internet3 is used for WAP connections. Also internet2 and internet3 are exclusive...either you are config'd for one or the other.
Here is a web page with detailed instructions on settings for the T68 series of phones on US T-Mobile: http://mork.home.mindspring.com/myvoicestreamhelp.htm

This is what I did to get POP3 and MMS working. I live in Hawaii and use T-Mobile. I posted this in another forum but just copied it over here.
I started by deleting all user profiles and data accounts. According to rj you have to set it all up again and it worked for me.
Following settings are for the new data account:
1APN - wap.voicestream.com
2Password - (leave blank)
3Password Request - Off
4Allow calls - Automatic
5IP Address - (leave blank)
6DNS Address - 216.155.175.040
7Advanced Settings
1Authentication - Normal
2Data compr. - Off
3Header compr. - Off
4Quality of serv.
1Precedence - Subscribed
2Delay - Class 3
3Reliability - Class 3
4Peak rate - Subscribed
5Mean rate - Subscribed
After you created this account go to WAP services and Options to create a new profile.
1Chg homepage - wap.yahoo.com (you can put other too)
2Connect using - choose the account you just created
3IP address - 216.155.165.050
4User ID - (leave blank)
5Password - (leave blank)
6Data mode - Conn Oriented
7Security - Off
8Show pictures - On
9Response timer - 100 seconds
To set the MMS function you go to the Messages menu and choose MMS and then Options.
6Message server - http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
7WAP profile - choose the profile you just created
To set the POP3 you go to Messages menu and choose Email and then you need to enter your ISP or email provider information.
It works fine for me but it can be a bit slow downloading emails sometimes. You can however set it so the phone checks your emails automatically. |
