Hello,

I am able to connect to wap on GSM & GPRS ok, & can access my yahoo.co.uk mail via GSM using the mail client. But when I try and access it by GPRS it come up with the 'finding server' box, but hangs like that for a couple of minutes & then says 'server not found'

Any idea why I cant access email via GPRS but can by GSM?????

Thanx in advance

I've been trying for ages to do the same thing on my T68i and get the same error message. I've tried both numerical and actual text names for the incoming and outgoing servers but no luck... looks like we'll just have to stick to GSM for now. I think o2 restrict what type of servers (or maybe even ports) for access across GPRS, this is just a guess though

The APN that you connect to for WAP on GPRS may be set to connect to O2's WAP Gateway only. They may have another APN for general internet access (and access to POP and SMTP servers).

This is the case on Vodafone.

As O2 are not on the Sony Ericsson website as an isp for email you will not be able to get the GPRS settings sent to your mobile from there. Call O2, tell them you want the GPRS settings for internet access (not WAP). I assume they have this as it would be pretty poor if they can't do this on the XDA.
