i just got a replacement phone (HW:R3B FW:R4A008, mfd date:02W09) . i used to have an R1B HW and R4A008 FW. Phone reboot/resets itself while using GPRS (either from phone's WAP browser or from a PC via IrDA or Cable) intermittently
Please share your experience here so I could determine if SE needs to resolve some issues with this phone.
Thanks.

I have a 01W39 Sweden-made T39. after a SW upgrade to R4A 0008 and a master reset, so far no hang ups using GPRS. My unit restated only about twice, separate incidents, while making SMS texts. I even fell asleep surfing and when i woke up, I was still connected

@derkie for the HW version, remove the batt of your phone and look at the sticker at the back of the phone it's the 3 chars at the upper right corner of your phone.
for the FW, press the keys: >*<<*<* on standby screen, go to SW info.
@drad, R4A would be the FW, what's your HW version?
@dan47, no particular site. i get problems when i open multiple sites. 5 or so sites at the same time. it seems like the phone is "choking" with the data. |

@GOwin
This is my third T39M, all with the same rebooting problem. I have had three different firmware with the same problem. I have notice the problem using the phone as a gprs modem throug infrared, when doing intensive web surfing. Also saw it while pop3 mail checking.

@derkie just continue with the rest of the keys, it's normal.
@ibaboun, i use both IrDA and Cable. Same result. Intermittent rebooting problems during GPRS when getting continous data streams |

@GOwin-- my HW is R2B and SW is R2M... there's one time when i master reset the phone and sync again my contacts from the pc thru IrDa ...it rebooted and can't copy all the contacts, after 4 tries i tried pressing the yes button 3 times while in sync, the problem did not persisted anymore. i deleted all my contacts again just to know whats what and fortunately it didn't happen again. |

It's the opposite for me. My T39 was always stable when I was using GPRS. It did a lot of the rebooting and hanging when I was using the more normal functions, such as writing SMS or turning on the IR. |

@yiz19 could you please indicate your phone's HW, FW and mfg date? |
