to create a new wap profile:
wap services -> options -> wap profiles -> add profile
profile name = ericsson
IP addr = 193.95.167.178
to set it as default:
wap services -> select profile
then choose ericsson |

Can't get it to work. I've tried using that ip in an old GSM profile and setting it up as a new profile but it comes up with communication error. If you set it up as a new profile don't you need usernames etc?

@edwardm, there is no username/password for the ericsson gateway. it does *require* that your operator allow the use of such, and require an appropriate apn (data account). |

Hey arnoldc >>> followed your instructions.... it says loading (for the last 5minutes now)!! By the way is this IP address the same as Ericsson WAP (settings available from SE's website)???
Any other tips will be appreciated..... thanx

Maybe it's a voda issue. The ip is different than that on the ericsson wap gateway because I've just chaged it in that profile but still no luck? ;(

Hey edwardm>>> try this. Go to SonyEricsson.com/uk click on phone configurator. Click on WAP. Then choose your network, choose the phone and then choose 'Ericsson WAP'. It works. It just did on my phone so it should work on yours as well as you are on Vodafone as well.
Hope this helps. By the way thanks arnoldc |
