HPM-10 and winXP - help! |

I downloaded the drivers for Windows 2000 from the MMC vendor site and the HPM-10 now works fine on my xp desktop.
I can't get it to work with my laptop because my laptop doesn't have a keyboard connector - is there a workaround for this?

I have a laptop too. Because it hasn't got a keyboardconnector too I plugged it into the external mouse connector and it works fine! Btw, I just have the hpm-10 for about 5 hours, I found it in a shop for 30 Euro! Cheap, isn't it?!

30 Euro!!!! I paid 75 Euro for mine!
I don't have an external mouse connector on my laptop either
It's a new top-of-the-line laptop - 4 USB ports, parallel port, IEEE (firewire), IR, no serial, no keyboard, no mouse...

Just download the Windows 2000 drivers from the vendor's site and install them - but be sure the card is in the reader at the time of installation - very important.
Other than that, it was a pretty smooth process.
Cheers

Don't buy another reader. Since you already paid money for the Ericsson product, you should get that one working and that is all you need! As promised, here is the link to the driver download.
Link
The HPM-10 which I bought comes with a SanDisk MultiMediaCard (MMC) and I think they all do. If you check out the driver download page at the above link, select SDDR-11 as that's the model that comes with the HPM-10. When you go to the driver download page, you'll see that Windows XP is not supported. Don't believe them
I downloaded the drivers for Windows 2000 and installed them on both my desktop (Windows XP Pro) and my laptop (Windows XP Home) and they both worked like a breeze with the HPM-10. The important thing to remember when installing is to be sure that the card is inserted in the reader otherwise Windows might not detect the reader. If it works, you should see an extra drive added to My Computer and you just copy/paste your mp3 files to that drive and enjoy the music!
If you have any problems with it, let me know, I think I've run into most problems while installing it so I might be a good help
Good Luck!
Cheers,

By the way, the drivers on the Sony Ericsson site also work fine. I personally downloaded mine from the SanDisk site but I think they're the same. Haven't tried the ones but I don't see why they should be different.
