I found a trick to store wallpapers on PC without IR or BT, using only data cable. Solution is simple, some of you probably is using it, but haven't found it posted anywhere. Here's what you do: Add some contacts to phonebook (i.e. with pic name) and assign pictures to them, then make phonebook backup with Christerssons Phonebackup. It will store pictures together with entries. They're stored as plain text, so there's no chance to even view them, but its always some option to save them for later use. If u want to restore them, edit backup file with i.e. notepad and delete all other contacts, so other entries won't get doubled. After "Restore" pics will appear in My Pictures as PB001, PB002 etc. Thats it. Hope it helps someone.

Finally I managed to transfer gif file to PC with data cable and save it, view it etc. It's pretty long process, but if somebody is desperate and for some reason doesn't want/can't use irda or BT, might try it. Here's how i did it:

1.Assign pictures u want to transfer to pc to any contact in ur phonebook.

2.Make backup with Christerssons phonebackup.

3.Open backup file and copy pics in text format u want to save (just body, without "PHOTO;ENCODING=BASE64;TYPE=GIF:" part. Remember what pic u assigned to which contact).

4.Remove "< br/ >" tags from copied text (i.e. use MS Word "find and replace") and save each pic as txt file.

5.Now u got to decode pics from BASE64 encoding. I used little program called AzaleaBase64. Decode txt file and as output format set picturename.txt and rename to gif/jpg depending on pic type.

Done! [addsig]
