I used the file IrOBEX.dll for synchronizing with Windows 2000. The file can be found in wap.sonyericsson.com, under R320 software (R320_Win2k_irsyncsupport.exe). It worked for me (Toshiba Tecra 8100 Windows 2000). |

Assumptions:
You used the Connection Wizard, Dial-up to private network, and in the Select a Device dialog box do you see the "Infrared Modem Port"?
If you do see it, then that is what you need to use. |

I add modem via Control panel/ modem/ Add new modem ...Then I choose the T68 infrared modem from the list. and choose COM1 (which is not correct, but that's the only choice)...
After that I have seen the T68 infrared modem in dial up settings. But never seems work..

@z00, i didn't even have to add the T68 infrared modem (it does not work for me). as i said, i only use the Infrared Modem Port (SERIAL2-0) on my Windows 2000 and it works. if you see that option, try it. |

No I don't have that option..
W2K's infrared implementation is different from W98/ME, there is no infrared simulated COM port.
Anyone else made the T68 infrared modem driver working on WIn2K??

I am using Windows 2000 Build 2195 (dual-boot with Windows XP) and the option I told you is based on that. Anyway, have you checked this post? You may also want to install IrCOMM.

I didn't use IRCOMM. I just made sure that when I am creating the connection, the phone is already talking to the notebook. It will show the Infrared Modem Port I described. |
