R3C002 is almost identical with R3B which was released just a few days before R3C (R3B was withdrawn due to a memory issue)
info on R3B

looks like its time to have a new thread on R3C, since this topic was out for R3B thread. and R3C was the correction version for R3B with that picture/image memory management problem.
Beavis: This thread sucks. Butthead: Not as much as the one who wrote it. Beavis & Butthead: He he he he. |

I think I discovered the R3B bug. The phone went into a total freeze without (almost) any reason. Fortunetly, at the time, I was on my way to the service center, so I made it their problem.. Should be getting the phone back in an hour, unless R3B fried the circuit board
btw, I really wonder what they did with the camera pictures, since they become just as bloated as any other if you transfer them out, and then back into the phone.

R3B did not fry my (phone) circuits, I just got my phone back with R3C002.
Camera pictures (size - large) still take up between 13kb and 19kb depending on the scene...
...so far I havn't been able to find any difference between R3B and R3C...

The really did improve the camera picture quality. The pictures are clearer, and not as pixelated on the high contrast areas.
...of course this could be coincedence, will be more certain after further testing...

what about the other pictures that are not taken by the camera. Does the phone still convert them into raw format and take up more space? |
