Problem in 'MPM'. Pls help! |

I already downloaded 'MPM'. but why is it my phone cannot be detected when i try to sync outlook? when i try to send file, a dialog box says, mobile phone monitor not yet installed. im sick and tired with this! pls help me get through with it. thanks!

go to your control panel and see if you'll find the phone monitor option.
if it's there, then it's installed. also check that you have enabled the com ports that you want to use in MPM, and that your phone is connected (IrDA, cable or BT) to your computer. |

COM1 Enabled (used for cable)
COM5 Enabled (used for  )
COM6 Enabled (used for )

are you sure that your "datacable" is not a flash/service cable?
if it is a flash/service cable, you have to modify it first. search for the topic thread if that is the case. |

well, if you bought an original cable from ericsson, then it should work (unless there are problems with it).
but i noticed that you enclosed your datacable with quotation marks, so i wondered. |

Should you gonna buy a new datacable, better consider to change with irda.
It's more flexible to use.

My bro-in-law is also using the same datacable. Its functioning smoothly. If ever, how will i modify mine? Or do i really need to buy the ericsson one? Abt the IRDA, how much is that? How will i operate it? Do i need any software for that?
