You had it working with XP? Sending files/pictures from phone to pc?

Is it only when trying to send to pc, that it doesn't connect? Try to send a contact (vcard), that should work, but most likely not sending pictures. At least it won't work with the MSI adaptor.
Also in the BT settings on the phone, you have the option, start from phone/accept. Try changing that option when pairing the devices.

You could also try to install it all over again.

Silly question, I know, but have you checked the right folder on your pc? When installing the sw for the bt key, you're asked where you like the received items to be stored.
But as I said, I can't send files to my pc either. But you should be able to connect to it anyway.

What kind of files were you trying to send?

PC wont reconize the phone? did you pair the two before?

if so, remove the pairing (from phone and PC) and try again.

the 3com does not support OBEX file transfer do they? it only supports dial-up networking, service discovery, fax profile, serial port profile and object push. so it won't do it.

i suggest you wait a while for the Microsoft BT support, maybe it will have that feature for the 3com BT.

The Anycom BT CF card on my iPAQ can receive files from the T68i. It was not able to do it several months ago, but Anycom released a new software and now it works. And oh, i can now receive objects from my T68 even on my PC when I use the Anycom BT card with version 2.0 software.

@barkey, the 3com bt does not support object exchange profile, so it can only send to the phone (using object push profile) but not receive.
