Well, I use the Anycom bluetooth pc card on my laptop.
This is just some general info :
I can create (DUN)Dial-up connection (using T68m/i as modem).
It supports synchronization of T68 and e.g. Outlook (XTND-connect software), FAX, LAN, FileTransfer between e.g. laptop and pda/pc.
BUT at the current moment the software doesnt support transferring e.g. backgroundpictures and melodies from/to phone.
I just got a mail from Anycom about this issue. I actually thought that the card supported this, but guess it doesnt,..at least not yet.
They told that it could/would be supported in future software-downloads.
So guess I'll just have to wait with this part
Good thing I also have IR, hehe.
And Anycom now have the XP-drivers ready for download

@jan, jems, i just ordered the anycom blue cf-2000 for USD159 + USD30 shipping, from their distributor in indonesia. i chose the CF format so that i can use it on my iPaq, notebook (with adapter) and desktop (yeah, my desktop has pcmcia slots).
@jems, you need a BT card to connect your T39 to a notebook, PDA, etc.

JEMS > I dont know if You're using a laptop or a desktop.
But not all desktop pc's have the pc-card slots.
A lot of laptops/notebooks have card-slots.
If you dont have a card-slot on your computer, then You should go for a Bluetooth USB dongle instead.
3COM and Xircom are some of the others that do bluetooth.
Arnold > NICE The manual for Anycom pc and cf-cards seems to be the same,..I got the cf-card instructions as well. That should help things a bit, if one of us gets into "trouble"

@jems, Anycom (and Socket Communication) products are not available in the Philippines. In fact, Anycom is not available even in Singapore because of pending IDA approval. That is the reason I contacted both Anycom and Socket.
My Anycom warranty is with Adisasta, the Anycom South East Asia distributor. They are very helpful, so if you like to pursue purchasing Anycom Blue, just send me a PM.
The problem with Socket's BT CF card is that it currently only works with Windows CE 2.11 and 3.0 meaning no drivers for Windows 98, 2000, or XP. These drivers were promised but up to now they are not available. |

Anycom rocks!
I just got my Anycom Blue CF-2000 today and I can't be happier. I was able to get connected to the T68 via my iPaq using the supplied wizard.
Getting hooked on Windows XP was also a breeze (using the newest drivers, 1.3) just using the wizard.
The package also came with CF to PCMCIA adapter, so there is no need to buy one! |

anycom yesterday (aug 26, 2002) released version 2 of the anycom software for CF/PC cards on Windows 98/2000/XP (version 2 for Pocket PC was available months ago).
to those of you dying to send objects from the T68 to your PC (or PDA) this software upgrade will allow you to do so.
visit anycom's support site to download version 2 software. |
