Update to the 3Com Bluetooth Connection Manager. Supports Bluetooth Service Class Filtering. Certain recent Bluetooth devices use Service Class Filtering (for example Ericsson T68i and T68m mobile phones). This update supports full connectivity to these devices
sounds promising ))
ill update you on my results when i get it installed!

Hi.
I am still quite new to using bluetooth on the pc. I have installed the dongle and can see the connection to the phone, etc, but I still haven't managed to make any of the software available see the phone.
I have tried the sony ericsson software, float's mobile agent, plus a few others. Any one think they can give me a bit of a tutorial on this stuff?
Also, if you know how I can get an audio profile for my HBH-15 Headseat on the pc so I can use it as a microphone, I would really appreciate it.

GAH!
Doesn't work with P800 though
I can't get the 3com USB adaptor and P800 communicate correctly. I can get them to communicate, but the PC Suite cannot find the com-port assigned |

The Billionton usb-drivers worked with some tweaking. Oh well. |

Hi!
I also have a 3com Bluetooth product (the PCMCIIA card) and have problems with getting it too hook up correctly with my P800. It worked somewhat OK with the T68I (not flawless). But with the P800 sync SW I cannot get it to communicate with the serialports. I.e. the mRouter will not monitor com6 or com7 (virtual serial ports). It claims these ports maybe in use by another application. I have all the lates 3com SW and drivers. I can pair the phone OK and send files and pictures.
What's these Billionton drivers mentioned, can they work with the 3com card? Do you use them instead of the 3com drivers? What was the trick to get it to work? |

I went through that nightmare today and found the following:
I have the release software on the P800 - there is no chance with the developer version (!) - at least I did not succeed.
The Trick:
- In the m-router enable BOTH "Serial Client" AND "Serial Host" virtual COM-Ports.
- It will complain! - make sure that both are checked
- Stop/Restart the BT-Connection Manager or Reboot the machine
That in essence did it for me.
You might need to un-pair and then "re-pair" the devices using the BT connection manager.
Don't touch it afterwards and it works even after a reboot or disconnect.

Finally got this working, the above post helped alot. The final stumbling block I found was that you need to remember to change your phone back to Bluetooth On instead of Discoverable. Have to say though, BT seriously takes the p*&s. |

Hi, I am having the same woes with P800 and 3com BT USB adapter.
I went to follow the steps in this thread, but I do not have "mRouter" I have "Phone Connection Link" and it doesn't expose the same choices for Serial host, etc." -I also went and downloaded the latest version of PC Suite (1.5.1) and it doesn't have mRouter. Any guesses what I should do? (I have the latest 3 com sw and drivers too)

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!
I am having the same problem with my 3Com Wireless Bluetooth PC Card 3CRWB6096, with the latest updated software I have found on 3Com's homepage.
I have followed all the steps that have been listed on http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=28203&forum=35#post385048 to the letter and I am still having the same problems as bojan59 explained in his post 2003-01-21 13:53 "I.e. the mRouter will not monitor com6 or com7 (virtual serial ports). It claims these ports maybe in use by another application. Exactly the same errormessage I get only it is port 7 and 8 in my case.
I have pared the phone and my laptop and I can send files from the PC to the phone without any problems, but only once in a blue moon can I send files the other way from the phone to the PC.
P968forever wrote in his reply on 2003-01-30 19:24 "The Trick:
- In the m-router enable BOTH "Serial Client" AND "Serial Host" virtual COM-Ports." No way the m-router (phone connection link) will let that happen. After ticking of one of the serial port it waits and comes up with the error message "It is not possible to enable port, as it may be in use by another application." It does not matter how many times I have tried.
That is about as far as I have got on this setup. Is there any one that can explain to me what I am doing wrong or how I can solve this problem? It has come to be a matter of principle for me to make the serial port connection work and try (just try) to surf on the internet through my computer.
