Is it true that I have to download this to get my themes across to my phone? Do I have to buy it? If so I'm gonna cry as I cant afford it!! I was really looking forward to downloading some decent themes and now it looks like I'm not going to be able to!

You don't need to have The XTND software. You don't need to have any software installed to use Ir file transfer to send the image to your phone.

When your computer detects the phone it will put an icon on the desktop and if you drag the file you want to send and drop it on the icon it will be sent to your phone.

If you are going to use a cable you should get the Sendfile program from http://www.christersson.org or Floats Mobile Agent at http://www.eflame.com/fma/.

If you are using a Bluetooth connection you will have to figure out how to send a file using the Bluetooth SW suite that comes with the computer.

The XTND Connect for Ericsson comes with the phone and is free, but it can only sync. to Ms. Outlook.

Strange indeed!

Then try the Float Mobile Agent!

I have been using it without XTND installed on my computer.

Is that like the equivalent of mobile phone monitor? What other software do you use with it?

No, it is not.

I just reviewed my configuration, I have a sw package from SE wich includes Mobile Phone Monitor but it does not include XTND Connect for Ericsson.

And then I have the Mobile Agent. Both work fine.

@Psykotik

For XTNDConnectPC, you have to pay if you need the full version, but a limited version called "XTNDConnect PC for Ericsson" is free.

For a list of software packages and downloads, refer to this thread: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=3497&forum=17

The function of XTNDConnectPC is to Syncronize your Contacts between MS-Outlook and your phone. But in order to run it you will need "Mobile Phone Monitor" (MPM) which is included in all the packages.

Now, in order to transfer theme (or any other files) via Cable, you have a few choices:

1. MyPicture from Ericsson, this will require MPM (just download Mobile Phone Monitor and modem drivers (5.2 MB) for T68i/ie) [But i heard somewhere latest MyPicture does not require MPM for Cable]

2. SendFile from christersson.org as mentioned by Merkur, require MPM too.

3. floAt's Mobile Agent, does not require MPM

Cheers,
floAt
