It is now available.
The Sony Ericsson EMS Converter 1.1 enables you to convert existing Nokia Smart Messaging logos and ringsignals (RTTL) into EMS formats, including iMelody for ringsignals. This provides a simple way to enable your existing content to EMS. The EMS Converter runs on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98, or Windows 2000.

I'm so sorry if you're getting a username/password prompt (Ericsson security). I'll put in in a public website for you to download. |

I have already downloaded the program and the manula also. Its interesting, though, I don't know what do the produced files. I suppose, that as soon as the new software is available, we will be able to upload to the T68 imelody files. Any help/comments on that?

Could anyone help? I am using T39m and i used EMS converter to create files. Two files were created with extension .em1 and .hx1. I renamed the .em1 file to .emy and sent to my phone thru infrared and it doesn't work. But the format inside seems to be right.
Please feedback ASAP.
I even changed the version format to VERSION:1.0. It doesn't work at all.

I dont believe that Imelody will work on current software. My guess is, that we will have to wait for the MMS-upgrade.
I'm not entirely sure, so if anybody knows for sure, please write !

what do you mean by current software? Are yous saying software inside the phone? If that's the case, what does this EMS converter 1.1 for? You can use notepad to open files that are converted, It shows Imelody format. The sample is shown below
BEGIN:IMELODY
VERSION:1.2
FORMAT:CLASS1.0
MELODY:
END:IMELODY
Or can anyone elaborate how to use the files created by EMS converter 1.1? |

Gawin : I mean phone-software
And I wrote, that I didnt know for sure.
Somebody mentioned it earlier.
When you write Emelodies in win-notepad,
you have to remember when saving : to "show all fileformats". And save as EMY.
Then the notepad-text is converted to an EMY-file.
Do you have to do this as well when making Imelodies ? I mean, save as IMY ??
I just donloaded the converter-thing,..and I havent read the manual on Imelody yet.
I'll have a look at it later

Damn then, means i have to upgrade the firmware? Shit..this will be troublesome.
Jan, one thing that i am confused about..Ericsson phone supports Imelody but how come it doesn't work with the Imelody file?
It stated here too, supports Imelody
