Just got an email from Orange that says that all mobile retail stores worldwide are to stop sales of the following Sony Ericsson phones.
T68i, T610, T310 & T300. This is because customers worldwide are experiencing their chargers blowing up while the phone is being charged. I'm not making this up. I work for Orange retail and have just recieved the email. The production of the phones have not stopped but the problem will need to be fixed. This does not effect the P800.
That's all l know so far.

I'm sending this post on my P800 @ the moment and don't have access to the internet at work only the intranet. I will try and put up a post tomorrow with what the email says in full. |

The t68 have been around for 2 years and I've never heard of any charger blowing up. If this is true, there must be episodes reported here at esato.com
Do you know of any?

Prove to me it's bollocks. Why would Orange email all its retail store and tell them to take the phones out of the display cabinets and send the phones back to the Bambury warehouse? |

I know, I tired getting my brother one on Talk 10,000 two days ago and they told me this. They also said the t610 has software problems.

can't find a single news item on google or any of the usual techo news sites etc etc. why would it be just Orange that has this info. If it was that dangerous SE would post something on their site surely?

Just spoken to the Orange colchester manager who confirms that all the above phones are being immediately withdrawn from sale until further notice!
Also it is apparrently not just Orange.
This on the day that I FINALLY get my fault code from Orange CS after three weeks of arguing from them.
Oh the irony of it!!
