wow, it certainly does looks better in hi-res. i also hope it has a better camera and screen. These pics make the screen look pretty bright too. this phone will sell alot here in the US, cause clamshells are preferred by most people here.

Z600 really looks very smart and cool ! Very much like one of the SE phone in Japan.........great !! Hopefully SE gonna bring more SE japan like phone to other GSM market , like the cool 260k 1.3 mega pixel camera phone SO505i !!! Anyway this Z600 will gonna further boost up the market share for SE as clamshell phone are very popular in esp Asia !!! Nice to know that SE brings more different kind of phones to the market to suit people's different tastes !!!

anyone wanna buy my T610?...the Z600 looks great!,
the high res shots really show off the nice finnish, its plastic, sure, but looks high quality..a good looking "japanese style"industrial design, that if priced well will no doubt steer people from the Panasonic and sharp phones that everyone in Australia(and Europe) is proud of showing off in clubs, towards SE...
I just hope it becomes available before the Panasonic X70(Bluetooth,clam,TFT etc..)
Panasonic has already announced the X70,while SE will announce the Z phones next week,so I wont hold my breath regarding release dates... |

well... I looked at those pics last night and again this morning and I don't get it. First I don't get why SE would want to make a clam shell phone based on the T610 and then I cannot understand why people would want something that is probably at least 50% (more more likely 100%) thicker than the T610 that gives them the same as they get with a T610? I also don't understand why, given that clam phones have more bulk, SE have not included a duo slot.
I'll wait to see the official specs before making my judgement, and I have had many motorola clams before, but this so far has zero appeal to me.

There are many people like clamshell phones , that's why samsung phones are very popular......esp in Asia. They may think clamshell phones are sexy.......as opposite to candy bar phone ! Also inside screen is protected from the clamshell so no need to worry scratch to the LCD screen and the keypad is bigger and well spaced too........more appeal to those people with big fingers ........haha !

Having held it and played with it i can tell you guys that it's amazing, larger screen than the T610 and it's not as thick as one would think, just a few millimeters thicker than the T610.
