Goto the following page...
http://tecomproduct.com/asp/support.asp?Navi=SoftwareDownload
...and download the file with the following details in the BlueTooth section... (look for the date 12/26/2002)
Bluetooth USB Dongle - BT3033 - 1.2.2.16 - 12/26/2002 - 16,974 KB - BTW.zip
Uninstall all the existing drivers and programs you installed for your current bluetooth key/dongle/whatever and install the above file.
Even though it's designed for Tecom's products it will work with yours regardless or brand. Other people on here have used it with various dongles/keys with complete success.
Once you have it installed, read the manual/help file and find out to enable the serial port connections to your T68i (it's dead easy) and then you can use the software that came in the above file to send and receive images/tones/etc to and from your phone.
(Plus you need to pair the PC and Phone up first, make sure you have your phone discoverable first otherwise your PC won't find it. Just turning on Bluetooth on your phone doesn't mean it's discoverable, you have to use the specific menu option on your phone that says "1. Discoverable")
Hopefully this will cover the numerous other threads you started regarding this same situation.

OK now I know I'm doing something really obviously stupid. I removed my old bluetooth software, loaded the new programme, set up the serial port detected the laptop and phone and established a connection through the my blue tooth places folder and syncronised the 2 on outlook, but if I then open sonyericsson image editor or xtend pc or mobile phone monitor I can't find my phone to send picturews through. I know it's going to be something really simple like a setting but I just can't work out what!!. I've checked that I have the correct com ports enabled and I'm definitely in discoverable mode.
When I open image editor and get the picture of the phone with "no t68 detected above it" what do I do? If I go into control panel and phone monitor it's not in the list and if I go into xtend and try to connect it tries but doesn't and yet in the tecom screen it shows my phone as connected.
Please help again !!! |

Make sure you T68i is "Discoverable" and is also set to "On" for Bluetooth operation mode.
Right click on the Bluetooth icon in your system try and click on "Explore".
This will open up Windows Explorer (Or My Computer depending on what you want to call it but it's still the file browsing part of Windows) and show "My Bluetooth Places". Expand that tree to show "Entire Bluetooth Neighbourhood." This will then search for and find your T68i and will show it as an extra item underneath the current brance you are looking at.
So if in the Bluetooth section on your T68i you've given your phone the name "PattyT68" then it will show up as "PattyT68" under the "Entire Bluetooth Neighbourhood".
Right click it and a menu will popup. Select "Connect Serial Port 1".
Some dialog box will pop up tell you which COM port number this virtual port has been assigned. *For this example*, lets say it's told you that it is Com port number 9.
Next...
Open up Windows Control Panel and from there open up "Phone Monitor Options"
Click on the tab labelled "COM Ports" and in the list find COM9 and left click to select it.
Click on the "Enable" button on the far right and just to be safe also click on the "Reserve" button on the far left.
Now click on OK to close that dialog box.
Open up the sony image editor and just select any image file that you want to upload. Now try to send the image to the phone like you normally would so it brings up the dialog box where it says "Looking for phone.............."
Give it a few seconds and then another dialog box will popup prompting you for a name for the phone. It doesn't matter what you type in here, it does NOT have to match any names you have used on the phone itself or anywhere else. After typing in the name and pressing ok... the original dialog box will now show that it's found your phone and display the name you have just typed in. Your phone will now indicate that you are being sent an image and just press yes on it to save.

Thanks for your help but I'm still stuck!
OK ...Phone is on bluetooth "on" and I am having no problems with my bluetooth headset.
Phone is also in discovery mode.
Tecom software detects phone and tells me it is on com port 4
In mobile phone monitor I have selected com port 4 enabled it and reserved it.
I have made sure that no other things are using com port 4.
I have made sure that the blue tooth icon is in my tray and that I do not have the xtnd icon in the tray.
I open sony image editor choose my image and am unable to send as the programme says no t68 detected.
I open up the mobile phone monitor there is no phone recognised there, com 4 is still enabled and if I choose the set up option and try the troubleshooter button that is supposed to help with connections nothing happens.
If I open tecom and synchronise through that the phone responds. If I send a picture from the phone it sends.
If I drop and drag a picture into my inbox in tecom I can transfer it to my phone (except it's too big for the screen)
I just cannot get mobile phone monitor to accept that my phone is connected and I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to make sure I have the version compatible with the t68i.
Is it time to give up yet?!!!!! The strangest thing that makes me feel I'm missing something really silly is that I can't get send file or Float(I think that's what it's called, that doesn't use phone monitor to work either)
It's something glaringly obvious I know...but I just can't see it. |

Hi,
Donīt know if this is still a problem for you but I discovered that the Tecom/Widcom BT sw starts counting comports from 0 so when they say connected to 4 it means the 5th com port for the Phone monitor program. That solved this problem for me anyway.
Cheers! |
