Hi.
Hope you guys can continue the "T68 upgrade reports - post them here"-tread here instead. The topic is to big to view on WAP, so it would be nice if you could continue your search for the MMS-software here  Maybe we should make a movie out of this...

sony ericsson is making dupes of us....I have sw R2b,and this morning I went at my service point asking them 4 the upgrade..I left them my phone til 4 o c'lock in the afternoon and then when I got there they told me that on the se server the mms upgrade was available (already written) but not available for download yet...they told me that se in italy after the huge sw problems they had here in italy with the t28,decided to wait a month more to make the mms upgrade available for italian service points,this because they first wanted to see if there were any relevant bugs...i suppose this might be different in spain,france ecc.....so i hope you guys have got it.... no sw upgrade here in italy until april...

i have a hunch they will release it tomorrow along with the press conference... or at least a date... (remember this is just a HUNCH aka a RUMOUR) |

Just to summarize the 4th March:
Seems like nobody has been able to upgrade their phone today. I suggest we keep trying! Most likely SonyEricsson will release the MMS-update tomorrow (5th March) after their pressconferences in London (10 am local time). It will also be a pressconference in New York the 6th of March, 11am local time, so maybe after that we will be able to get the MMS-update. This is not confirmed and it's just speculations.
Please post your upgrade-efforts here and report when you get the update!!!

Got r2b...Quicker scroll,new games...But what about more images,themes,and mms? Someone has news? I also bought cable for pc.SW called my pictures sucks...Any better 1 available? So sad about how little improvements i found...sigh sigh

Have been to my dealer this afternoon at 4 (switzerland, local time). I'm usually quite happy with that shop, but today I was disappointed. That buddy didn't even know of any update. He tried to download new software, but he didn't get through to the server... So either every dealer across europe was trying to connect OR... Ericsson was uploading the new software ?  Would be great. I'll call Ericsson Store in Berne tomorrow, maybe they'll tell me a bit more. :-S |

Hihi, I don't really care, I won't be able to get MY upgrade until the next time I go to a normal country, which will be in 10 more weeks, so I'll just hope that it's out by THEN |

Here are some thoughts...
Ericsson (or now SonyEricsson) is an international company with employees all over the world. Today we hear that in Italy they states that they will not have the SW-upgrade before August/September. Here in Norway I called Ericsson Support and they told me that the SW-upgrade will be released in March, but they didn't know when... Okey... We know that this SW will be avaiable on the server EMMA 2, and that all service centeres can download from this server. So why are they giving different information...?? Ericsson is one of the leading companies on COMMUNICATION, and now we can see that they can't even communicate between their own offices around the world...
We are living now in year 2002 and have all the open communicationchannels avaiable; Internet, phone, SMS, Satelitecom+++ And Ericsson still can't be able to give the same and correct information to all of their offices and employees??? I can't believe it... This is a shame for a techology-company like Ericsson!!! Really disappointed! |

Yepp Im sorry but I have to agree with you once more, it happens more and more often that Im ashamed of working for them. Im not in any kind of way involved in the production of T68 or some other cell phone.
But as you said, they are no. 1 in communication equip. or at least among the top3 in the world, but still they dont manage to inform their employees what the deal is regarding the MMS software and when its released!

Tell me please: is the version you are waiting 4 R2B?Because it is deceiving as I wrote...I am Swiss and got it today...Let up hope the next will be an UPGRADE and not a PATCH as the ones up to now.Ericsson has problems,but as I read this topic it seems that the shops themselves are not any better if they dont have the latest versions...

...I think SE will present a new website tomorrow www.sonyericsson.com..maybe they have put the new "Users guide" for the new software on that site..could be logical if they plan to release the R1A (mms) at the conference...or maybe I am just another optimist...

she thought that the R3B upgrade should come
in the middle of march

As i knew when i visited the service center today that the R1A version is an old version and IF there is a coming mew version, it'll be the R3B006. Confusing!
