Swedish site Mobil.se confirmed this in this article (in Swedish):
http://www.mobil.se/nyheter/visa.asp?id=6639&sid=1

The upgrade should take only a couple of hours. But SE can't promise that everybody get's their phone fixed directly because of the demand of the upgrade.

Now you don't have send your phone away for 2-3 weeks as first said.

I agree that mobil.se has a reliability problem, but they can't make up the things Per Alksten said. The news items about the sound problem fix is very reliable because they qoute Per Alksten from SE.

Actually it is maybe not so good. I would suspect it is a hardware error and that there is a software "fix" for it. Well, well, if the sound quality is fine after the software fix then it is OK.

I actually the same hissing problem on my T68i, but it is not as loud and it is only in the handsfree.

Does SE actually admit to this hissing sound problem?

@ Cytech

Intresting. I believe you more than mobil.se. It's strange that they publish news like that if it isn't true. They should really check their news first.

Yes, that is why I thought they were right. Per Alksten should know what is going on. A bit strange if they just made up that news item, or misunderstood Per Alksten that much.

All Per Alksten is qouted on is about the service time and not about the problem with T610.

@Cytech: Are the resistors of the wrong strength, or are they too close to some other components?
