Does anyone one know if there is a Sony Ericsson Service Center in New York city so I can upgrade my firmware for my T610? |

I searched through Esato and found this recent thread that suggests there is not one in NY.
I also found this "Where can I upgrade my T68 in the US?" thread which might give some other clues on upgrading in US.
Hope they are helpful but I'd say best to call SE and see what they say.

Thanks for that info masseur. But I still can't believe that there's no service center in NY. Plus the fact that I don't want to mail my t610 for only a firmware update, because I'm most definitely be needing my cellphone on business days... |

Use the dealer locator at sonyericsson.com… if it says there isn't, there probably isn't.

Half the cell-phone stores in Chinatown can do it for you on the spot. No biggie. |

you guys should checkout www.virtualdynamix.com for upgrades. very helpful, and KNOWLEDGABLE. i think they are an authorized service point for SE also. a tech actually advised me not to get an upgrade because i would not see much of a difference from my current firmware. the techs are also members of this forum and always help out for free through this medium. |

@moodswinger
I doubt it. Some cell-shops in chinatown didn't know about the t610.
But if you have a exact location you can p.m. me.

If there's no big of a difference, then i wouldn't upgrade.
I thought that once upgrading the t610 it would save more mb space and fix the speed.

bubsy,
i have a t68i. sorry for the confusion. judging from other threads,a the t610 firmware upgrade offers improvement in speed, not so much space. customizations can be deleted (?). email them, they give prompt replies (in my experrience).goodluck
