Stay entertained with Sony Ericsson’s 3G K618: a vibrant blend of work & play.
08 August 2006

LONDON 8 August 2006 - Sony Ericsson today announces the K618: a slim, lightweight 3G phone that will launch in selected markets and deliver the perfect mix of mobile phone, multimedia applications and business solutions.

The new K618 has been developed for those users that want ‘the best of both worlds’; entertainment on the move & a powerful business tool. This high performance 3G device is as light and slim as a typical 2.5G phone, yet delivers blisteringly-fast speeds for streaming or downloading music & video clips, browsing the web or gaming. And staying in control of your inbox is made easier with support for push email, allowing messages to be sent directly to the phone without having to download them.

“The K618 is the ideal phone to bring the benefits of 3G-enabled mobile entertainment to a wide audience,” says Jan Wäreby Corporate Executive Vice President, Head of Sales and Marketing, Sony...

Liked the v630's design a lot.It was one of the best brick designs i had seen from :es in a long time. Was hoping for a generic phone with the same design and this seems to be the one.Specs wise aswell i think its a carbon-copy of the v630.just a new name for it.
here, have a puff

A nice phone. But it is unclear what this phone can offer that other SE phones can not, beside EDR (should boost the file transfer rate a lot). Why would anyone prefer this over K610 or K800 for instance ?

Well, time will tell.

Anyone knows who's made the integrated Google Blogger application?

...if it's now an application. It's possible to send photos to Google Blogger via e-mail.

Thanks in advance.

It's just the K610 in an uglier shell. Just like the K600 and the K608.

As far as I know it hasn't got EDGE or photo bolgging. And the K610 does have expandable memory.

Right, the K618 doesn't have Edge (UMTS instead). But it does have expandable memory (256MBB M2 included) and the picture blogging.
