The announcement date was postponed due to hardware updates(hardware platform changed with better,TI OMAP 34xx). Maybe P5i will be announced in February along with Beibei. P5i will have the new touchscreen UI - UIQ 4.Will have a fast CPU with around 520Mhz clock speed(may be more in fact  ),GPS chip integrated.Based on Symbian 9.3 or 9.5.WiFi 802.11b/g,WAP 2.0,C++ support,a 5MP camera with AF and flash,HSDPA/HSUPA,128MB RAM are some of the specs.The phone will have VGA screen.It is said to be 2.8" but thats just a rumour.
There is some unconfirmed information that the P-series flagship phone is code-named Bella.

I'm quite busy now and will be busy in the next months, so I won't be able to keep up with the information. I won't be able to create the official P5i thread as I planned - with all the info, links and etc. Maybe someone else with more spare time can do such a thread.

you forgot to post some info on the the first post:

and i will add this one:
expected price around 750 euros
also, symbian 9.1 is RUBISH
the new UIQ will be most probably based on Symbian 9.5, or at at least 9.3, never 9.1

I'm still confused as to the form factor.
If I can remember correctly...it doesn't slide but kind of slides, but also sort of flips?
If no one wants to post bad quality pics of the actual device, could someone Photoshop a representation of what the form factor looks like? For visualization?

must have compability with the UIQ3 programs (no doubt)
and i wonder that the camera quality may be better than the K850i (without xenon of course)!
(i have to say as a SE loyal that the K850 camera is the best out there)
and yes the price should be around 700-800 euro
now i understand the quick fall of the p990 and p1's prices. to gain the uiq3 popularity as there are not much uiq3 devices around to encourage the developers for making new applications for this platform and to make the path for the p5i.
