Well I get this stupid message on my K750... And when I click 'OK' the phone restarts... and until the faulty game is removed the phone keeps restarting at shutdown (unable to turn off phone)... this only happens when games and stuff are in the memory card though.

Btw, you can fix it by deleting all the files in System\ams\java\db\ of the memory card.. some applications do bad things with the database files :/

This morning I turned my phone on, and it started up OK, but while searching for network it froze, so I took out the battery and put it back in again.

Now I can't access any of my message folders or send any messages. WTF!!!?

This happened to me, it was caused by the java security certificates becoming corrupt, I reflashed the phone using xs++ and then it was working again. You may have to hunt around for the firmware files make sure you back up your contacts first

NB not currnetly working on the k850, you have to use a paid tool eg davinci team at the moment.

I'll try updating to the latest firmware when I get home.. if that doesn't work I'll try a Master Reset.. and if that doesn't work I'll ring up O2 and see what they'll do about it.

If they're just gonna send it off to be repaired I'll take it to my local service centre myself.

No way I'm paying to fix a fault so soon after I've bought the phone.

this is really ridiculous that we have to go through all this hassle. I live in america and its not as easy as it is for other ppl to exhange their phones.

lol,

my games and applications had been suffering the "operation failed" curse practically from the day i got my phone.

but jst today the "operation failed" curse applied itself to the inbox and outbox etc messages.

great, i don't know whether to replace it or chuck it in the bin and use my k800.

Is replacing it the only other way to resolve this issue?????????

I have a K850i and have had 'operation failed' on games and apps for nearly a week now. I tried the master resets a couple of times and have even updated from 029 to 037 but none of these fixed the problem. I guess i'm going to have to get a replacement, does anybody know if the replacements are a better build or not? Because they seem to be handing loads out...I heard one guy on this forum has had to return his three times already; so knowing my luck i'll get a handset with more bugs than the one I have now. That is why I am wary of returning it...

Only full flashing the phone can solve the "operation failed" error... It used to happen once with my k800 when i was running older firmware.. SEUS cannot fix it, but flashing with XS++ works well...

strizlow800,

Is there any way of fully flashing my phone for free? I know about DaVinci etc. But I don't see why I should pay for them to flash my phone when I can get a free replacement. Just wondering if there was a free way to fully flash the K850i...?

If you want your phone flashing for free you will have to take it back to SE to reflash for you.

R1CA029 has a Jave Script error i beleive and this is why you get opperation failed.

R1CA037 does resolve this issue, However i beleive that you have to completely reflash.

Using FOTA doesnt completely reflash and get rid of errors that are already on the phone.

Hmm so if FOTA doesn't do the trick neither does SEUS. I got my O2 branded K850i from the website so I guess my best option is to send it off for a replacement then...
