I think that the question made in the first post by Boba also applies to the mods here on Esato: Tranquil, Masseur, Cytech, ArnoldC and GOwin.
I'd like to know you're opinion too about Esato growth in these past 3 years.

Hmmm . . . maybe @laffen had created another 'baby' (website), that's why he seldom visit esato anymore ! |

Got to say it, with esato, the thrill in owning a sonyericsson is enchanting. The edge this site gives over other manufacturer is phenomenal.

So, how long before the TV advertising campaign?
I'm waiting to see Esato appear in the media somewhere - Perhaps it will do soon, considering it's popularity!

@sammy_boy - Looks like that idea will just eat a lot of money dude ! Unless, SE itself will have the heart to sponsor it! |

people come to esato and stay not because of the novelty factor, but because they get answers to questions they've always wanted to know about their se phones. and from the first query onwards, its as the eagles say "you can check out any time you want, but u can never leave".

I do post from time to time, but not as often as I used to. One reason for this is that running such a large site requires my attention elsewhere than in the forum. A lot of things happen behind the scenes that you never hear about. Managing hardware and software fixes and updates, email response, adding new moderator tools from time to time, updating public wallpaper and themes and more.
To answer boba's question: I could hope for of course, but did not expect Esato to become as large as it is today. In the beginning, most questions were phone related. Nowadays, I have the impression that only newcomers write phone related posts. (some) Old-timers tend to use Esato as a chat forum. This is a natural evolution of boards of this size.
I'm not comparing Esato with the following communities, but the owners' there faces the same challenge as I do. http://www.big-boards.com/interviews/ BTW: Notice the large number of moderators required to run such large sites. Compare their numbers with Esato, and you understand how much hard work the existing Esato moderators do.
Esato is still a growing community and it will always be room from improvements. What I miss is a twin brother replacing me in weekends and holidays. A person who knows what I do, and knows what need to be done when something goes wrong with some of the servers. I like to be mobile and always carry a P900 and iPAQ with access to the Esato server when going away for a long time. My holiday luggage is always filled with a couple of phones, chargers, Bluetooth adapters and sometimes a laptop. Thanks to the moderators I don't have to close the site when I'm going away on a trip.
Well, I'm off to Stockholm now. Attending a meeting where Sony Ericsson will present new products and trends. I'll let you know if it is something interesting |

Just one of @laffen's very lengthy and worthwhile responses . . . to date! I just like reading that over and over again, specially if I am at doubt if he still visiting the site . . . A man of few words indeed. |

@laffen (or any of the other mods who know I guess!) is this a full-time job for you, i.e. is this a salaried position for you (you're 'employed' by Esato), or do you have a full-time job also?
I hope the question isn't too personal a one (if it is, I apologise )
