At least add some text to the picture in your post stating it is a PS. |

Sounds to me like Hikaru is going to be an X-series, which makes sense in a large way. Especially with the rumored specs. Sounds like a natural companion to the X1.
Using S60 is a great move, if true. I think SE will be able to use the S60 platform but skin the GUI to make it look like what UIQ 4 was going to be. I think that would be a great middle ground considering SE isn't actually going to use UIQ anymore.
I'm looking forward to the next few months, but with baited breath.
The one thing that bothers me...only 8GB? I would have preferred 16. But 8 is still more than enough for my needs, I suppose.
Sounds like SE really did make the right move by canceling Paris et al. Now they'll be able to finally use a modern platform. I hope whatever is released is a quality product. |

Well it was said to be 8gig internal and also have support for external memory so let's see what happens. |

This is true, of course. I would have just hoped that with 16 being the new 8, so to speak, SE would have chosen the latter. But there's likely quite a bit of time for changes--it's not like SE hasn't changed things before. |

If you like Walkman then Hicaru should be top of your list
It will have the same impact like T68 > T610 > K750 had on the market. That is my guess |

Thats if it makes it to market. I just hope SE doesn't deal Hikaru the same card as Paris and Beibei.

i certainly hope you're right..., though it does sound like Hikaru will be the phone for me. I look forward to finding out more specs though and hopefully it will be announced and released soon before it's old news and nobody cares...

Hope it will keep UIQ UI quality, things like Nokia 5800 are awful.
Also hoping it WILL support memory cards. |

add better than ARM9 208MHz CPU - good keyboard (preferably qwerty) and some serious video recording like VGA or above in 30fps......

Statements like this are a little unnerving for me. On one hand, I get excited, because I love cell phones and I love SE and I want them to make a great product.. On the other hand, it's been a year next month that rumors of Paris began in full swing. And these latest Hikaru rumors are starting to sound EXACTLY like those did. And we all know how Paris turned out. I just....I can't buy into the hype anymore. I don't doubt that if it's real, Hikaru will be a great phone...but will it really be the be-all-end-all phone? The "slayer of the competition"--words used to describe Paris?
And even if it is a great phone--with an 8 MP cam, touchscreen, internal memory, GPS, etc--it's not like it will be the only phone on the market to boast those specs. I'm guess what I'm saying is that I'm very reserved about all of this. I want to be excited, but I can't bring myself to feel that emotion about a rumored SE product until they actually prove themselves once more. |
