These G900 pics look great. I mean some are blurry, but the most are great. As i see, it would need a little more contrast, a little extra sharpness, and some color saturation. Any way to enhance the pictures (without editing them with photoshop..) ? |

nice pics! great quality indeed
do you usually modify brightness or just use the default? |

lol if i don't modify EV, it will give very bright and glowing pictures. I always use -0.7 or even -1.0 EV. This is a problem. SE should have put -0.7 EV as 0.0
EDIT: can you post full sized pictures? i want to look at them with EXIF..
EV 0.0
EV -1.0

what you people don't understand is that this is a mobile phone camera not a camera with a mobile phone as a bonus. thus beeing a mobile phone camera ,it has a realy small sensor ,so the white ballance isn't always correct and that's why EV is there for.
of course i use EV balancing ,some of the pics are shot even with -2.0.
the white balance option is there to USE it ,not to let it at +/- 0.0.
yes ,i miss the spot photometry that i had in K800 and S700 ,but now it compensates with a lower EV value.

and besides that.. if a picture is too bright, it's not that hard to correct it with whatever software you prefer.

Well you guys are optimistic! then buy a phone with no camera. we live in the 21st century!!!! I hate those people who say "it's a mobile phone not a digicam". So what? Sensor size is same as any other phone camera sensor, IT'S THE DRIVER THATS NEED FIXIN'! You guys don't know because you didn't have a K810. Let me explain. When K800 came out, pictures looked good, good WB, etc. Then came the K810, and it had a major problem. Pictures where too washed out (look at mobile review and you will find the comparison between K800 and K810), and then came the driver (custom made) that fixed it all, and K810 was as good as K800. So don't give me this BS about sensor and size. If you have a good software, made by good people (like number1, Raider, etc not idiot SE developers) you can have decent pictures. Even in low light the 0.0 EV is too much. So you guys eighter read or shut up.
EDIT: besides, on of the modders said that its camera is as good as the K850s camera. (if not K850, then K800 for sure)
and LOL alex.. you need to read more. "UIQ 3 -> UIQ 3.3 in next firmware?"
Np man, i like you all. i'm angry because i found tons of bugs in phone, and i can only share it with you guys.

how u guys get such good quality pictures? mine always seemed to be over
exposed during daytime. Even if i bump down the exposure settings a bit, it still do not look good. i noticed photos taken by our fellow forumer davidsic and karlsson are damn good. Is there any firmware / software issues? Btw, how to check for the firmware / software version cuz i can't seem to find it.

dude ,relax ,drink a tea or something ,jeezz...
ok ,the driver is not so good ,so what? USE THE EV COMPENSATION!! it's there tu use it ,not to complain about it.
and about the sensor size and camera lens stuff ,give me a break. even the INNOV8 can't take pictures with a quality near a 8mpx cam like the Panasonic FZ-18 for example. and i'm reffering to the quality of the pictures ,not the features of the camera. and u can get that for about 450-500$ and get a normal phone just for talking for another 50 or 100 bucks , and your still a few hundreds of the price of the INNOV8 for example.
don't compare point-and-shoot mobile cameras with dedicated cameras ,there is still a lot of work to do before we get similar quality.
you keep complaining on and on about SE's phones quality (esspecialy the G900). i will repeat myself: throw it away ,sell it ,blend it ,distroy it and get a Nokia/samsung/moto or any other phone that doesn't give you headaches. WE don't care bout what you think about it! you got 3 faulty units ,so what? the other "billion" didn't had any major probs with it! don't just sit there and complain ,do something! Get a panasonic FX33 camera and tape it to a motorola motofone F3. you get a nice 8.1mpx camera ,a 6 day standby phone all in one. Great value for money i think
and about that uiq3 to uiq 3.3 in the next fw...what the hell did i do wrong when i asked that? it was said in a roumor that it might be possible so i asked. where's the fuss? i don't get it.
and to be honest ,every time i meet a romanian/hungarian on a international forum ,he has to make a flame about something. i'm kinda sick of this and i'm ashamed that i live here what so ever.
there are a lot of great and helpfull people arond this forum ,but every beautifull green forrest has it's dead rotten trees ,right?
and to quote you with an opposite phrase: no man ,i hate u actualy! get a life ,don't troll around...
and i'm going to be as rude as possible with this one: you aint gonna take transilvania from us ,so stop dreaming.

Well seems that the above poster also has problems with the picture quality. And if you read all the posts, you will find many people saying "how do you get so nice pictures, when mines are all foggy?". I know how to use a mobile camera, but EV doesn't help you with macro, right?!! EV is dumped when macro + led is on. thats what it freaks me out. Macro+led = automatically reduce the ISO and exposure. So when i try to take a picture of my keyboard, it's all overexposed. AND JUST SO YOU MAY KNOW, only the first G900 was faulty (with LED), rest are all the same. Only you guys don't see the problem (i tryed one from another store and was still slickering). Now what are the odds so that one also is faulty? really low. And to demonstrate how dumb this phone is, it' can't even play back AAC files (LC type), while my k810 played them back perfectly. Dump file created, and phone restarts after 2-3 AAC.
It's a good phone, but with lots of firmware bugs, that CAN be fixed, and not hardware issue. Thats all my problem with SE... the firmware.
P.S. norbert is a GERMAN name..
P.P.S and i'm still not mad at you. mad at SE, but not you guys. I just need to share my problems with you. I hope me or SE will work this out.
And i want all my stuff to be in 1 place. Not a phone for talking, camera for pictures, PSP for games, etc. you can have them all in 1 device now.
SO, EV is only partial solution.
