Sony Ericsson Japan releases Walkman Xmini for AU by KDDI
It's a tiny tiny phone, smaller than the T303. Head over to the Keitai thread for more information. |

I don't see why this phone can't be released for the rest of us...

is there any possibility to buy and get s905ics or w61s worked in india.
i love the design of those. i need it unlocked fully without using hyper sim.
what are the limitations when we using in indian networks. i dont use edge/3G/HSDPA here only gprs available.
also what are all the main drawbacks. i herd we can't set mp3 ringtones. like whats other cons?

Wow, that looks great. It looks like it has touch keys surrounding the screen like the C902 has.

Yeah, it looks like every single button on the front is touch like the C902/K850i. It just remains to be seen how reliable that is. Cool looking little phone though! It seems to have broad appeal, so it could easily be released elsewhere in my opinion.

Wow, that second picture really looks beautiful. So what if it doesn't have a camera, your life was fine without it just a few years ago. The combination of a phone and a personal music player is truly awesome and one of the most practical trends I have seen in the market for a long time. Its now the case that MP3 Players are no better than the music-playing phones. For me though, the main advantage is a very good speaker. The speaker of my W350 is, in my opinion, flawless, its just as loud as my laptop, therefore being perfect for when you want to listen to music without delay (but without headphones). Also, a phone cant be an apt music player replacement unless its either very small or very thin. |

Umm yeah these are the kinds of questions you should be asking on the Keitai thread. If you read the beginning, your question will be answered.
Anyway, SO905iCS does work outside of Japan - need hypersim though. W61S, as it is a Au by KDDI phone (just like the Xmini), does not work outside of Japan. With all Japanese phones, except for the older generation 903SH and 904SH by Sharp, there is no internet. No Japanese phone, except for Sony Ericsson, is mp3 compatible... only WMA. But Sony Ericsson phones can only play mp3s... not use them as ringtones.
Again, I encourage you [actually all of you] to go to the Keitai thread and take a look yourself.
To be honest, I don't know how this phone will sell well in Japan. It's going to be pretty cheap, but like the main drawback for this phone is there is no camera, which is problematic. The Japanese market is incredibly demanding, and the focus right now is screen and now camera. Sharp recently announced their phones for different operators: all the cameras are 5.0mp or greater, three of them with a 8.1 MP AF CCD Sensor.
Then again, there aren't too many "cheaper" handsets for Japan, so this might be a great starter phone for kids and young teens. If Sony Ericsson did sell this phone plus like a 2.0 mp camera (I wouldn't market it as a low end phone), I think it would be an instant success.
