man.. iphone 11 pro is gonna give X1 a run for its money...

simultaneous recording on multiple cameras is pretty sexy. plus advanced video editing on the phone itself. this is exactly what's missing from the X1. sony dropped the ball on this.. they should make these features available via software upgrade.

there is a minumum distance the cam requires to focus.
For the main camera, it maybe something like 4 or 5 cm at least.

Yeah i know. I have a good understanding how a camera works and such. But the Xperia 1 has been the most buggy camera phone i have owned. The is some strange things going on with the focus on it like today and this evening the eye focus keeps popping up even though i´m taking photos of landscapes, trees and such and even in lowlight. The camera software is quite buggy imo and feels more like a beta software. This evening the camera even crashed for the first time and i got the "evil" green screen and then the camera stopped working until i restarted the phone!
I hope that Sony does improve the camera software and the overall experience. Btw, i get more sharp and infocus photos when shooting in lowlight then in daylight for some strange reason...

That green image issue was fixed on the first update, sounds like you'll have launch software.

There is another phone that could use both rear cameras same time.
I dont remember if it is LG, Samsung or Huawei.

I do not remember if that old cam sub-app FACE in the PHOTO can do video too or just photo.
You could split screen between front and rear cam.

I have the latest software so it can´t be that. I still hope that Sony can improve the software of the camera overall and calibrate it´s focus algorithms!

Is your phone build number .56 ? If not have to update it.

I found out something new, that is the focal distance of each lens. The wide angle lens needs minimum of about 20cm, while the standard 26mm lens minimum about 10cm whereas the 52mm lens minimum is about 35cm away from subject, and this includes auto tracking. So even though the subject example flower is successfully tracked from auto tracking, when you are too closer than the minimum focusing distance, your subject will not be able to focus. (This is highly applicable to 52mm because the minimum focal length is quite huge)

Same flower taken using 26mm lens, around 10cm distance:

Yeay... finally I bought one.

What I like:-

1. Camera
2. Camera
3. Camera
4. The size (big but small). Looks big but feel small in hand.
4. The speed, smoothness.....
4. The screen quality
5. The battery life

What I don't like:-
1. No wireless charging

I am totally impressed by the camera. Not only me but all my friends as well.
