There's always one spectator who turns up with the intention of upstaging the race cars...
Apparently I missed seeing Michelle Rodrigeuz today. the star of 'Lost' and 'The Fast and the Furious' was out at Pukey too according to the local news...

Ok heres some pictures I took at the Muse concert here in Christchurch on Sunday night. I really didn't expect much of the camera as it was dark. The pictures have quite a bit of noise and aren't that great, but I'll upload anyway, coz it was an awesome night!
They at least show some of the cool lighting effects though!
Awesome green lighting and silhouettes of the band:
Blue lighting:
One of the security guards lit by the bright lighting:
Security guards while Muse plays on:
Muse rock:
Matthew Bellamy uses his mirrored guitar to reflect the light of the spotlight like a prison spotlight (they made a prison siren sound at the same time):
Anyways, I hope you can all get past the poorer quality!
Thanks

AND... Heres a few more selected shots from various events:
Here are a few pictures from The Shins concert when they played here in Christchurch a few months back:
As you can see, I like to be up the front at concerts!
Here is the family cat, Maia. She was in a mischievous, scratching mood!
A Ferrari F40 at the local specialist car shop. Not for sale!
And a nice action shot of a Porsche 911 Turbo taken from when I was driving:
Thanks

@oli - Were those taken from a K618i matey Well, you can really TAKE RARE good shots at night time/outdoor/concert images like those pal . . .
I wonder how those will LOOK if used with an mxe-60 xenon flash
But as they say, malPRACTICE makes it PERFECT !
Good Luck with your next shots pal !

They were taken with a V630i which is essentially a K618i - The Vodafone version. I bet they would have been better with a flash attachment, but it is hard to find Sony Ericsson accessories here in Christchurch, as we have no SE store, just Vodafone shops which sell next to nothing in the way of accessories.
Yeah, even though they are a bit blurred and noisy, I am quite happy with them.

Yep, thats my phone. I believe Carkitter, a fellow New Zealander is using the V630i as well, as we can only buy Vodafone versions from retailers in New Zealand. He told me he has one in the New Zealanders regional thread.

@M-O
Hey, great shots there mate, well composed. The colour shows up well; the strong contrasts were always gonna be difficult for the V630i to cope with and noise is the result but good shots none-the-less because you managed to convey the atmosphere of the concert well.
Off Topic: We have two Sony Style stores here in Auckland but that doesn't mean we get much in the way of accessories Accessories are not supported well in NZ for any Mobile manufacturer (with the exception of Nokia Carkits that is).

Thanks! Yeah I really didn't expect much from the shots, but I don't own a digital camera so my V630i was all I had to use. I'm happy anyway!
We have a single Sony Style shop in Chch. Their accessory range extends as far as a single handsfree headset and a car charger. Hardly worth it.
