Just been looking at the SE web site, and have noticed that the SAR rating for the K750i has changed from 0.66 to 0.99, not been able to check if any others have changed as it is not working now for some reason. Could this have anything to do with the new software they have released for it.

you are probably right. They may have increased the radio power to improve reception.

Starting in november last year, SE replaced a component and that increased the SAR value. It isn't firmware related at all. Phones manufactured untill october still has the old SAR value regardless of which firmware they use. It's official from SE. However, they refuse to inform which component was exchanged.

Right I see, as my K750i has a SAR of 0.66 according to the manual, so was suprised to see the new level on the web site, sojust assumed it was because of recent software upgrades. Would like to know what componet they have replaced, it could be the aerial.

thanks, it's handy to know updating won't affect the existing sar.
