what's up guys,
im experiencing slow transfer speeds while transfering music from my pc to my phone, using the usb cable that came with my w810i, it's transfering at around 110 kb/sec, isn't that pretty slow ? any way to fix it ? i'm gonna try my friends memory reader over my pc to see how things go for a starter, thanks in advance |

How do you figure out the speed? |

Use MyPhoneExplorer, drag and drop the file you need, look good at the transfer window |

Does your PC support USB 2 speeds or USB 1?
May be slow because you have USB1? |

usb1.1 is 46.6kbps so its not that
how much free memory is there on your pc and your phone, and how many other programs (including backgrounding programs) is your pc running, as these are often the cause of slow transfer speeds as the pc cant find the bits of data fast enough or the phone cant find the free bits in its memory/the memory stick

If you have USB 2, see if its on or not. Its done by pressing delete when you restart the computer. Pressing del will open up a setup. |

@QVGA i would reccomend if you dont know what your doing you dont use the bios as you really can screw over the entire computer as the bios is what controls startup
@hairytea dont worry, you learn something every day

Yeah, it should under 'Integrated Peripherals' on the BIOS, but if you accidently change something else your computer may go down.

I have the usb2.0 turned on in my bios an I still get around 100 in transfer rate using MyPhoneExplorer, and loading songs to the phone seems really slow

I have a decent computer, and yes everything is fine in BIOS, it's really weird, i'll go grab the memory card reader off my friends house now and report speeds here
edit: wow, the speed by using the memory reader is unbelievable ;/ im not sure 100% how many kb/sec but i managed to copy a 8 mb songs in less than 4 seconds

I have posted about this on other forums and there doesnt seem to be an explanation other than the file transfer mode is pants.
I have a gig card and used to use it on my K750 with no problems. put it in the W810i and it is slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
I got so peed off with it I bought a usb pro duo adaptor (card reader) and now it transfers lightning fast.
why did s/e have to muck around with the file transfer.
and I checked its not my card or the pc or the cable coz they are all the same as with the K750 and that was quick !
so spend a tenner and buy a card reader its worth it (although maybe s/e should reimburse us!)
