No you don't need to buy top-up but you do have the package option which gives £30 credit for £199.99

remember guys, these k610's are not able to be unlocked atm , yes its a lovely phone, but 3 is far from a lovely network...
unlocking could take some time still, just thought its worth pointing out.

it can be unbranded. the 3 branding was awful i used this site http://www.wotanserver.com/detail.php?phone=20 to unbrand it. it worked fantastically |
