So basically this is just a thinner W810 with "premium material" right? |

With M2, Picture Blogging, Stereo Speakers and TrackID.
More like a W830 but with Autofocus is how I would look at it.

I like the design, at least more than W880 and K810.
I would really want this phone if only it had QVGA resolution.
W880 has QVGA, so why go back to the 176x220 resolution for W610?
And the weird thing, even though W880 has QVGA, its screen size is smaller than W610. What was SE thinking?! |

Hardly makes sense at all does it, nless it was a 'costing' thing. I agree with what you're saying.
They have put the higher resolution on a smaller display and they are both so its not as if one is a Cyber-shot either.

This is why the Fastport placed on the phone's side would suck:
- phone is more uncomfortable to hold with the left hand when Fastport is in use (e.g., handsfree or MMR-60 connected);
- cable tends to bend more in the opposite direction when using the phone than when the Fastport was still at the phone's bottom;
- I don't know how I would still be able to put that in my pants' pocket without worrying about the handsfree cable getting bent too much.
- imagine putting some accessories on the phone, e.g., MXE-60. Won't it look weird? Also, My W800i with MXE-60 is still very pocketable. I can't see that happening with W610i with MXE-60.

How is this phone different from the W810i? Not considering the new improved sleeker design, but is there any difference in features or functionality? They seem almost identical to me. The only difference seems to be in the software features (UI and Walkman 2.0 player). |

NIce looking phone. Fast port should go on the bottom. They will learn.

Very nice design, especially the back - in black...
SE is finally getting a new consistent look throughout their phones.
Side connector: probably thsi makes it possible to make the phone thinner, especially at the bottom? Problem of bending depends on how you put the phone in your pocket. If you put it upwards, with the bottom down, it would bend less than with the bottom connector. |

With Fastport on the side, it'll be hard for left-hand texters or 2-handed texters (like myself) to type messages or play games while listening to music... |

yup. must be the panel extending all the way to the left edge of the circular panel surrounding the camera. unless the rendered press photos have been modified to hide the breaks in plastic where the battery cover and the back panel really are

do you think that it is the better place for the fastport?
it would be unconfortable to carry my phone inside my pocket with the fastport placed in the sides.
