A coworker of mine left an easter candle next to his phone, and within an hour or so it had melted onto the camera and caught on fire a bit. amazingly the phone and camera still work! SE will replace the casing for $100.
Notice how the M2 cover has shrunk

Wow, all that damage and it's still working! Phones can withstand a surprising amount of abuse - I've revived a T610 that was chewed half to death by a dog before, and some pretty rough looking phones!

agree with sammy ... who ever said that the K800 wasn't a combat ready phone
that phone really got a beating ! but at least it still works ... how about hte memory card ? or that was broken too ?

The cheap plastic could resist that fire. Cool. So i can leave my k750 near the stove

@PK: The phone aint dead. The housing got damaged only, the phone still working.

Just thinking about it but the battery is fine as well, its reassuring to know that if you drop your K800 into a barbeque, you don't have to duck and cover immediately to avoid being burn't from flying parts of your burning phone. You might get a chance to rescue the phone before any more damage.
