Glue from P1 case |

The soft case that comes with the P1 sucks. If you live in a hot climate I suggest you not use it. Today the glue that they used to make it rubbed off on the sides of my lovely P1. It didn't damage the phone but very irritating trying to remove it.
Needless to say I threw the case in the trash after that.

Well, if confirmed by others, that might be a huge "BUG". I can't really imagine how and why they used glue to sew the pouch? Can you check exactly where it comes off?

It looks like they glued it together and then stitched it. It's quite common to make bags that way but the glue shouldn't be exposed.

Not much chance of glue melting in the UK at the moment . We need something water proof here.

Anyone got any ideas of a good case for the P1i? What are the options available? Reviews? |

Golla makes some cool handphone pouches, go for their bigger ones that measure around 75 x 140 mm.

Why include an accessory that isn't even made well? This really irritates me. Not because I need it but because they include such a cheaply made pouch with such a nice and expensive phone.

Yeah I took the phone out of the pouch and realised the stickiness on the side, then I felt the inside sides of the pouch and it was glue! And I live in London lol! And its not boiling here. Any other similar pouches like that out there???
EDIT: What I did was cut some plastic of one of the provided bags and just stuck that down on the side of where the glue is, 2 strip's one on each side. And its stuck down onto the side, does the job for now, will look for a better pouch thinking of getting the Moshi iPouch.

Yup- I live in Warwick- UK! Not very hot as you can imagine! I thought it was something I had got on to the phone myself at first, but no, it was the provided case!

Same problem with my P1 and pouch. I live in northern Norway, beyond the arctic circle. It's only 18 degrees outside, heat is not the problem. This is just bad product design. |

I finally got rid of the glue the Martha Stewart way
Materials used:
White Vinegar
Toothbrush
Dishwashing liquid
Liquid Hand wash/soap
How:
I brushed the inside with the vinegar until i felt no remnants of glue. Rinse it with dishwashing liquid to remove the vinegar scent. Soaked it for an hour using the liquid hand wash/soap. Let it dry and done.
Smells fresh

None, just scrub/rub it gentle and you're good.
