I found myself on the the orange wap site last night and was surprised to find that use esato for all the picture content on there site. Has anyone contacted orange for a bit of help? Maybe they will be interested as they use the site and know what an asset it is

I can see that lots of people are interested in this thread now that people have donated. Come on guys, the problems wont in away, we still need to look for sources of revenue to fund our esato habit!

Monthly usage is around 300GB.

@ejasim
You won't loose what's here today when the P800 friendly site is up. Agree about the Paypal restriction. Not fair at all. But what can I do?

@laffen you could set up a snail mail address that people can send cheques to, and provide forms to print out so you can debit their credit cards, or provide a bank account number for bank transfers? Just some thoughts? Chris.

@laffen-genuine query here why is it that so many people spell 'lose' as 'loose'?. Yes, I know its a pointless post and I know my English is not the best. Its just that by adding that extra o you create a vastly different word lol. Please dont think im criticising you here but so many people do this I was interested in finding out why.

The permanent link to this thread on the homepage has gone (-is this what people mean by 'sticky'?).

I wonder what this is supposed to tell us - probably donations have slowed... but the fact that its now gone entirely is suggestive of a problem solved.
And yet, could a couple of thousand bucks (I'm guessing this is the approx. end total) really be all that was needed before the advertising revenue kicked in that Laffen previously referred to?

I would be interested in an update, Laffen - hope all is ok.

Well, its another pay day so sent another $10.

All that can afford to pay should make another donation until @laffen has secured the site for the longer term.

@laffen

Any subscription system set up yet?

Maybe this has been suggested before but how about giving the donators a special "thing" next to their names in the forum... a medal or something...
