Megapixels are often thought to mean the quality of the picture (ask my cousins), when in reality they mean the size of the picture. People would think that a 2 megapixel camera would be better quality than a 1.3 megapixel camera, whereas in reality a 1.3 megapixel camera is just a 1280x1024 picture, whereas the 2.0 megapixel camera is just a 1632x1224 image. Compare the quality of an S700 1.3 MP pic to a W880 or K610 2.0 MP pic.
Phones with good megapixel cameras:
1.3- S700
2.0- K750, W800, W810, W900, P990
3.2- K800/K810, T650
5.0- K850
Phones with poor megapixel cameras:
1.3- K600, V800, Z550, K510, W550/W600
2.0- Z610, Z710, K610, W660, W850, W880, W710, K530, W610, K550
3.2- W960, P1
I hope that helps- don't get misled by the '2 MP' sticker on the w880 etc.

its clear, that fone cams without af arent that good as the ones with af... so if u wanna have a "cheaper" 2 mp fone without af, take a nokia, those are very good. sad, that se cant offer the same quality as the nokias ( without af ), do wondering, where they gone wrong

i wouldnt put K550 in there. Its pic quality is very mediocre to say the least.

w550 has got the same cam as k600, so both make crap pix

Nope, same res, different sensor. S700 has a quality CCD sensor and shits all over all SE cameras for quality. MP is getting a little low for continued use, and the handset itself can't take more than 128MB memory so it's useless as an mp3 player, but in pure quality stakes, S700 is in a league of it's own.

Don't worry, it has been corrected, I just wanted to make a guide for people who wanted to buy a new phone.
By the way, don't the K550 and W610 have the same cam as the W800?

No they dont. W800 is far better.

oh then in that case the pics would be a lot noisier. Is it the same sensor as the K610?

Why does choose to put poor quality sensors in their 3G and slim phones?
Really, I thing the only good 3G java phones that make are the K800, W900 and K810.
