Hello, not sure if this has been mentioned already. I bought the MPS-70 speakers and am supprised to see that you can not charge the phone and listen to music through these speakers at the same time. It looks like they messed up the design of the plug on the speakers.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is the design similar to the MPS-60?

The MPS-60 connector has another design, it's a small box, about 2x3cm to which the cables are connected to, and it has the fastport male at one edge, and it is too wide to be able to connect to the back of the charger connector. I was hoping that they had fixed that problem with the new version of the speakers, but obviously not. Then I do not have to bother buying a new pair of speakers...

I have an update on this issue. The double fastport connector of CST-75 is actually possible to open, by loosing the screw on the one side of the connector. Having done that, the actual fastport unit can be extracted from the housing, and in thi state it is possible to connect both MPS-60 and MPS-70 and the charger at the same time. If you are a little handy, it should be possible to re-route the cable to exit from the housing at the side instead of at the back of the housing, by carving a new exit hole for the cable in the connector's housing with a sharp knife or a file.

I just wanted to add to this, that the CDS-65 desk stand that comes with the Sony Flag ship P1i is also not compatible with the MDS-70 speakers!

So now I have the SE MDS-70 speakers which is not compatible with the charger that comes with the P1i and also not compatible with the desk stand.

I really don't understand how it is possilbe to mess such a simple think up? If SE can't the simple things right how can the release competitive phones?

BTW I am a SE fan.
