Unfortunately, Semicon (the local service point) does not honor the international warranty.
You'd be luckier if you're outside the Philippines (My, Sg, HK) where an active non-local operator SIM and your ericsson phone is sufficient enough. |

Software upgrade in Singapore is FREE, I have upgraded my R1A to R2A a month ago. I was expecting of Photo Album but I learned that it will be available only in R2B. R2A is definitely better than R1A, much faster, better color, enhanced call list and rearrange games position. I have not call Ericsson Service Centre since I upgraded my SW, but I think R2B is already available here. |

hey Perfz, have you tried smartnet, how much do you pay for the upgrade?
My T68 is bought in Greenhills. In Semicon, they dont honor the warranty, they said it cost P1,650.00 and P550.00 on the succeeding upgrade.

Thanks guys! Lalabas kaya ang R2B dito since hindi pa-MMS capable ang smart at globe? Kasi kung hindi, magpapa upgrade na ako to R1C or higher. Kung oo, aantayin ko nalang. 450 rin yun eh. |

Smartnet is one of the official service points in the Philippines.
In fact, it's the Ericsson office that informed me of their existence. |

how much does it cost for me to upgrade the phone there? i bought the phone from semicon, but since i have read all the posts here and seen that R2A s/w is the only available in semicon, i think i would rather go there to Smartnet. But where's that exactly and do you have their contact numbers? thanks.

it's better to upgrade at smartnet because it takes only 30 mins and you could always go to megamall and spend the time. unlike at semicon it takes 3 hours. proprocess pa daw nila yung mga papers. duh! |
