A survey made by the web community Habbo shows that Nokia has lost a bit of its attraction as brand compared to other manufacturers. On the other hande Sony Ericsson and Samsung have gained supporters.
It is the social network service Habbo that during the autumn has asked 58 486 teenagers in 31 countries what brand they prefer the most.
Nokia is the mobile brand that is most prefered in 15 of the 31 countries.
In Great Britain, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland among others Sony Ericsson is ranked higher. The last time the survey was made was in 2006. Then Nokia was ranked highest in all countries. That according to a compile made by Cellular-News.
The survey also shows that the use of multimedia functions has increased sharply. During 2006 the survey showed that 38% of the teenagers used their mobiles for music listening. That can be compared with todays 71%. It is said that 70% use their phone for photo taking and video recording, 64% for games and around three of four use their phone for internet services such as web, e-mail and direct messaging.
