Does anyone know a quick way of transferring P1 contacts to my X1 without going through outlook? I do not use outlook by the way. All my past symbian phones could send and receive all contacts through bluetooth, the X1 seems to only take them one at a time. Thanks for the help.

I just got my X1 today and to my dissapointment, I'm in the same problem as above!

Has anyone found a solution in beaming the whole contacts by Bluetooth?

Thanks.

I tried to beam all my contacts to my PC and it only sent one contact (the first name on the list)

How do you transfer all my contacts from P1i via Outlook?

Thanks.

Update - I just managed to import all contacts from backup file .vcf into MS address book.
Can I sync the X1 with this? How?

over ten years i am using ericcson and SE phones. I got used to it and i dont have the will to buy other phones. At last I have an X1i. This is my first smart phone and i cant get used to it.
For importing the contacts, I send the contacts from my W850i to my PC by bluetooth, and copy the files in a folder in my microSD of my X1. From the file explorer of X1, you open the folder where you copied the numbers, and one by one, open the files, the system asks you to save the account to your device. click yes, and there it is..
By the way, in contact list, all names are starting with the surnames.. Anybody can help how to organize them according to the first name..
Thank you in advance..

Well, I had to edit one by one (yes, like 300) and change FILE AS "name surname" but then when installed Xpera Tweak, it has an option for that.

The fastest way to transfer the numbers is to synchronize with outlook.
For the surname, name thing, synchronize your contacts with outlook then go to tools --> options --> contact options --> choose in Default "files as" order : first last and then resynchronize.

Thanks for the name/surname issue. I am guessing the settings you mention are on Outlook of PC. I have some problems with syncronizing my X1 with my Outlook. Once I solve it I will try it. Anyway on the X1 to change the name/surname order you are aware of?

It's frankly unacceptable that Sony Ericsson has sold its new flagship model, the X1, knowing very well that the X1 is incapable of directly receiving contacts from its former flagship model, the P1.
This has been a very disappointing experience for me.
To those asking, the SIM has capacity for 250 numbers, if you're like me with 1000+ contacts with many of them showing several numbers you're out of luck.
On two of my computers PC Suite doesn't work with the P1i to synch but it does to transfer files!
On a third PC Outlook crashes all the time.
So that option is out.
