I have just received a storm but need to set up my email. Could someone please explain to me why I need to pay vodafone £4.50 per month to pay for this when my other phones just worked. Vodafone were useless on the phone.

Thanks

Blackberrys use a server to process the emails. All data goes through these servers to. This is why you have to pay.
The £4.50 includes unlimited data to (not sure of vodaffones fair usage policy).

Ok thanks for the reply. Vf didn't explain that and it annoyed me because I'm already paying for a data plan but that should mean I can cancel that.

Yeah, if you already have a data plan then that can be cancelled as the blackberry wont use it. You wont be able to use the blackberry data plan on another phone though.

I have sorted everything out with Vodafone but I am trying to set my work email up onto the Storm but struggling with this (Sorry never used a Blackberry).

I have managed to add my Sky email address to my Storm easily enough but struggling with the work one.

Any tips/ideas how I can do this?

Thanks

chances are the that BlackBerry won't know the email settings unless it is popular like Hotmail or Gmail so you will probably need the pop3/imap settings for the works account and set it up manually!
