I disallow anyone to copy/modify the tutorial without my written permission. I also disallow uploading the Customize files onto another server.
Flashing your X10i to X10a and vice versa will result in SEUS not able to update your phone.
1. Download files:
-SE PC Companion: http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]_PC_Companion_2.00.115_Web.exe
Choose one of the following:
- X10a Generic America BR (R1FB001) NEW! - http://www.4shared.com/file/o[....]Customized_BR_Released_12.html
- X10a Generic America AR (R1FA014): http://www.4shared.com/file/X[....]Customized_AR_Released_12.html
- X10i Generic UK (R1FA016): http://www.4shared.com/file/F[....]mized_UK_Released_1227-46.html
-X10i Generic NCB (R1FA016): http://www.4shared.com/file/-[....]Customized_NCB_Released_1.html (Thanks Mizzle!)
- X10i Generic Honk Kong (R1FA014): http://www.4shared.com/file/w[....]Customized_HK_Released_12.html
2. Install PC Companion on your PC
3. Connect your phone when PC Companion asks
4. Check for updates - on this screen you will get the REPAIR option
5. Select repair - and let PC Companion guide you through it.
6. Go to the following directory (folder may be hidden)
For Windows Vista/7 C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs) (Yes, ProgramData; not Program Files!)
For XP C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs
7. Sort the files by date in descending order
8. Look at the screenshot: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5554/x10deb.jpg
9. Rename file 1 from the archive to the first file at the top (they should both be similar size (~110mb)
10. Rename file 2 from the archive to the second file at the top (they should both be similar size (~16mb)
11. Now copy both files from the archive into C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs. If asked to overwrite, then do so.
12. Run PC Companion again. Go through steps 4 and 5.
13. After a successful update the phone will be unbranded.
(If you used Generic NCB files it is recommended to perform steps 4 and 5 once more. This will update the firmware to the newest, R1FB001, firmware.)

Other regions (because there are 23 all together) will be uploaded later as my 40kb/s upload is really limiting me . |

As I said in the other thread, does this change the CDA, or just fool it into matching the CDA with World Generic and updating?

I replied to you. I said that it does change CDA and SEUS will flash generic firmware when future updates come. |

Sorry, can't see that.. might have been a different Andy.
Sweet news excellent work! Does this mean all settings are lost by reflashing or because it's just the baseband will this be ok?
