Hello Everybody!
Maybe I am blind but I did not find the topic about T68i.
Let's share our information about T68i here in this new topic!
What is the truth about upgrading T68m to the level of T68i (by software upgrading)

because T68i = T68m = T68

not really much difference except for the labeling.

Hello!

It seems that you haven't seen the topic I was looking for. The title was something like "has anybody seen new T68?"
In this topic we were arguing about new T68i and we shared the information we heard about it.
T68i is not T68m. T68i is going to be released by SonyEricsson in March and its 'knowledge' and design is different.
The question is: is it possible by software upgrading that T68m will know all the new functions which T68i has?

There wonīt be a new phone, just a new SW-version... Now they are using all space there is left on the phone with some extra games.... Not good! The softwareīs we are using now is just BETA-versions they have... They hadnīt the REAL software ready when they realesed the T68, so they took the half-done SW and made it a bit better, and sent it out to the stores... they just wanted to be first!!!

Think about if SonyEricsson released the T68 4th March (when the real SW comes in Sweden) how would that be???!!?! Then they hadnīt been first with a colorscreen multimediaphone!
When they upgrade the phone they are realesing a lot of free memory... the phone has about 20-25MB (asked a servicecenter guy) in memory... then there wonīt be a problem to release 500KB to a Photoalbum, right??! They just take away some of the boring games that shouldnīt be there anyway...

Think about it!!

Itīs just a competition between the mobilproducers...

You are not right,T68i is an existing new SonyEricsson phone.I just held it in my hands in a shop a few hours ago, it costs 550 Euro.
Its keyboard is better and has blue backlight.

Dark,

Iīm afraid that the T68i wonīt have a new Keyboard, or ilumination. As a Sonyericsson representative told me some time a go.

"the t68i is just the UPDATED version of your T68, Just a New Software, and a New case that will say Sonyericsson T68i, instead of just Ericsson T68."

I think weīve already talked about this in other topics.

Why don't you belive me? T68i was in my hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You can buy it in Hungary in every GSM shops!!!!!!!!!!!!
I try to get some pictures but I can't go into a shop just to make a photo of the new phone.
And also in the Hungarian Ericsson Service Center they said that T68i is an existing new phone and T68m is not siutable to use all the new functions which T68i has just some of them. But who knows, we're not futuretellers!
I also bought a T68m a few weeks ago and after 2 weeks there was the new T68i which is better than T68m!!!!!!!!!
T68i EXISTS and its design is different.

agree... but it does exist somehow searching for T68i at Google gives quite a long list of sites, mostly sites in Eastern Europe and Russia.

A swedish mobile related magazine had a news article about T68i in January, they had contacted a person at , but he hadn't heard of T68i.

In the software MyPictures the text "...can be displayed at standby on phones T68 and T68i" can be read... this is a pic from it:

The article is found at http://www.mkf.se/nyheter/visa.asp?id=4504&sid=1 (it's in swedish)

In case your right... why havenīt SonyEricsson introduce it, not even here in sweden they have?!?!
Or else they will introduce it at CeBIT but then you couldnīt have tried it already, that would be impossible...

sorry kid, canīt belive you, if you donīt have pictures-proofs?!

I agree to Npalamidis, Superluminova, mikaalto, dan47 and all the others here on Esato.com.

T68i could might be another version of a T68m but the only differences are that itīs fitted for another region (countries.. ex. Asia, US) but there isnīt any HW changes...

sorry pal!

In Hungary you can buy T68i in GSM shops which are not official Ericsson Service Centers. So this phone is not 'officially' released yet maybe that's the reason why you can't find anything about it in Ericsson's sites.
