was told they have 200 orders filled in already, with the 1st batch of shipment to be a total of 250 p800's, the 2nd batch will follow after that, I think Feb 24th... they will start shipping on monday! So if you guys haven't preorder, order now! Onl 50 left for the 1st batch!  |

70? what a crock of shit, i called em like feb 6th and they told me they havent even receive any shipments in yet, so how can they have 70 left when they never received any in the 1st place... |

In the article referenced part of a sentence states the following:
"you'll need your own SIM card to use it" (it meaning the P800) What exactly does this mean? |

they meant u need to have a service with a gsm carier in order to ue it, because Sony isnt a carier, and the fone wont make fone calls till u put ur working sim card on it |

yes, thats the way GSM phones work, tmobile/cingular/att are GSM carriers in the US, all GSM phones require a SIM card... |

I spoke with a one of the major SonyEricsson dealers and they don't have any in stock yet. They haven't sent them out to any stores. They have like 900 - 1000 ordered and they sold out of all of them. This phone has been pushed back alot and they don't have a real release date yet. |

yeah i got the same answer when i called them up too. Although they were kind of clueless on whether the phone was to be released at all!!! Man i dont know where they find these customer service people!! They are so not informed!! Geezzzz!!!

i called em again and they told me within 2 weeks for the 1st shipment to come in, my friend called and they told him today, and another friend called and they told him March-April? Wtf, everyone is giving out different answers, im sick of this bullshit, it's so unreliable... sigh... no point in calling up SE, i wish i can talk to the CEO of someone on top of things.. |
