anyone noticed that on the orange uk website the p800 has been advertised for a few weeks and has now had the price increased
it started at £299 and has now increased to£330
this seems a bit strange they must have know the real price before it went on.
i think they have seen the demand and up ed the price
i think more company will try this the more its delayed

I enquired two days ago in the Orange shop and they said that on a 120 plan an upgrade would be 300 quid with 20 off that for a trade in on an old one. We shall see....

it's like this; I just spoke to the Orange shop in Oxford St and the guy told me this. They will be getting them tomorrow. They will cost as follows;

£300 on a £25/month contract
£250 on a £35/month contract
£200 on a £50/month contract

The shop i spoke to was the one at 89 oxford st and he said they were getting 16 units, 14 of which had already been reserved.

I would love to go and get one tomorrow from them, but if i wait until monday i can save much more money and get an unlocked one(without an ugly orange square on it!!!).

Yeah i just spoke to that same store, but they said they had stock this morning, and tomorrows stock has already been reserved. Plus he said 30 pounds a month tariff = 300 pounds (thats mad), i then asked if i switch networks, will i get it cheaper? No he replied, oh well, seems like that Orange shop aint getting my money.
All this stupid pricing is making me think that i should get a 6100, or 6610 or even a 7250 (i'll be in UAE next week) instead of the p800, plus they are all cheaper (all less than 250), and will all be sim free ,unlocked etc.
May get a p8 still, if i find a store where they'll offer me one for 200 pounds, tell me if you find one.

Yeah, i heard its out already there, but some shops are out of stock (have to look hard then). "As a 2nd phone" sounds rich

My advice is to ignore the orange website. Up until 2 months ago I used to manage a mobile phone shop, and to give you an example of how wrong the orange website can be, they were showing the Nokia 6310i at a retail price of £199 on new connections whereas every shop in the UK (including there own) had it marked up at £99. It stayed like that for months. The best thing to do when they do launch the phone is do the upgrade direct though orange customer services, as they will usually beat any high street price!
